Thanks for sharing, yes its cute. I shared it with Shea too. We are SO thankful she found a good home.

(1) Thank you all for your prayers for Dakota! They had to do several scans and procedures and finally an EDG & Colonoscopy (yes on a 14 mo old!) But Praise the Lord they found the problem, he had an ulcer in is upper GI area. Pretty good size too! They were able to cauterize it and we are now home. They think the Amoxicillian he was on tje 7 days before for tonsilitis caused the ulcer.

(2) i got my needlecase from Karen Folsom AKA brwn-eyedgirl it was a patchwork 2x2 squares with a cross stitched from that says: LIFE" is a patchwork of friends! So cute!!! THANK YOU SO MUC Karen!!!

(3) Can someone please tell me how to search and find names )aka my ss) to send them a PM? I HAVE gone to the member list and searched there, but could not find her. I have come back to this group and hit ctrl F to try and search for her name on here and that didn't work. There HAS TO BE an easier way, please tell me how.
Thanks everyone!!!!

This exchage was fun, :)

She said that she liked blues, so I used a fabric that I had and loved, but b/c the print was so large, I couldn't figure out what to do with it. This seemed like a perfect use.

Okay Im really dumb, but what are the 2 beautiful pokie things for? They don't look like pins. Someone else know? Thanks for educating me!!! :)

Thank heavens Dakota is now on the mend! Prayers have been answered! :)

As for the screen name/real name, you probably need to ask the exchange hostess. Guess we need to start asking that both be included, in the info.

CAS49OR 07-04-2012 01:05 PM

Snownannie the coffee needlecase you made is sooooooooo cute!

CAS49OR 07-04-2012 01:07 PM

peaceandjoy that is a beautiful needlecase you made! I see you included some of the Wonder Clips everyone has been excited about.

Please can someone help me as I don't know who sent my beautiful needlecase and I would like to thank them....the case is lovely as were the wonderful gifts inside....the small ruler is truly going to be so useful....I think it will become one of my most used items.
The problem I have was I couldn't find a note with the case and the name has become very smudged on the envelope so I cannot read it....whoever you are that made this....Thank you so much...it is brilliant.

Neesie 07-04-2012 03:47 PM

What a beautiful case! PM our hostess, CarolinePaj, and ask her who your wonderful pal was. :)

I Praise the Lord with you. So glad little Dakota is getting well again. Enjoy him!!

Little RoO that is so pretty, and unique. I love the outside of the needle case, and the inside too. Yes, that ruler is a nice idea.

Suzan88 07-05-2012 05:11 AM

I'm so glad Dakota is home again and all is well.

DogHouseMom 07-05-2012 12:07 PM

LittleRoo ... ARGH!! I have my husband to thank for INSISTING that he knew more about mailing items to the UK than I do (which is true but ...) but ... he FORGOT STUFF!! Like: The post card of Chicago which is the skyline you are looking at on the needle case, and the CANDY (a"Worlds Finest Chocolate" chocolate bar, Peanut Butter M&M's which I am told are not yet available in the UK, and Ferarra Pan "Lemon Heads", and "Frango" mints) that was made in Chicago (Chicago is the home of many candy companies).

There was also a key chain and a package of needles. Did he remember to include those??

He ate the chocolate.

The needle case is from me ... DogHouseMom ... aka Sue

So glad you enjoyed it!!

Yes, I agree with JuneBillie. It is fabulous, and I dearly love it. And thank you again, Peaceandjoy. Be on the lookout for a snail mail thank you.

fmhall2 07-05-2012 12:49 PM

Laquita, the "pokey things" are stilettos. I use them for guiding fabric under the sewing machine needle, so I don't have to get my fingers in the way. And the one she sent me is a beautiful one she made. And I got 4 of the Wonder Clips, too.

mary quilting 07-05-2012 06:49 PM

they are stilleto's they help keep your fingers from the sewing machine needle

Caroline thanks for creating the album. It is so nice to review all the great creations. Perhaps the next swap should have a unique theme !!

sasquilter 07-06-2012 04:36 AM

Caroline, The swap was great. I enjoyed seeing all the cases. I agree with Pam1111, a theme would be really unique and fun. Thanks for all your hard work Caroline

Well, YES, I do love the needlecase you sent me. Your needlecase very much a cheered me from being sick for about a week. The flowers are so adorable and you know I love hot pink. You might not have known I also love lime green, so you really hit the mark. Thanks.

Caroline also sent me hand dyed 100% cotton thread made in Wales (a real treat), a hot pink FQ, and postcard depicting her city, Bury, St. Edmunds and a yummy Ripple chocolate bar. Thank you so much Caroline!

Also, Thank You Caroline for being the hostess. I know it adds a lot to your already busy, busy schedule.:thumbup::thumbup:

Little RoO 07-06-2012 01:32 PM

I was really hoping that mine would have arrived by now.....but I don't think it has....hopefully it will real soon....it always takes so long from the UK......but hopefully it is nearing its destinations !

Mine has arrived ... after much travel :) Not only did it come from the UK - but it went to Washington first, then back to Chicago. We had a bit of a mix-up ... but all is well and my needle case is PERFECT!!!!

Our wonderful hostess Caroline made my case and she made the most perfect case that suits me to a T. I had mentioned to her that it would be cool to get a case that represented where it came from (ie Peaches from Georgia, Maple Leafs from Toronto ... etc) so look what I got!!!

Needle case with British flag ... inside has RWB panels for pins and needles!!
3 F8's in beautiful greens and browns
Welsh Hand Dyed green floss
A marking pencil
And a candy bar ... which I'm sorry to say is in the freezer so couldn't be photographed. We have suffered a week long of over 100 degree (37c +) days and the candy bar felt more like a tube of toothpaste than a candy bar! It was completely squishy. Not to worry ... it will freeze and be enjoyed :)
A post card from her town, Bury St. Edmunds. I've actually BEEN to BSE ... Caroline lives about 10 miles or so from my Step Daughter!!

My husband was happy to see "his" flag come home :) especially so close to the 4th of July (or as he calls it - A big to-do about a cuppa)

JuneBillie 07-06-2012 04:53 PM

I Did get mine today from Little RoO. I just got home a bit ago, and it made my day wonderful. The needle case is beautiful, and the fabric shows England. You will be able to see the flag, a double decker London Bus, and Ferris Wheels called The London Eye, etc. The colors of the fabric are beautiful, and she filled it with very useful goodies.(thread, various types of needles, seam ripper, scissors, measuring tape, and long pretty straight pins). She also included a pretty unique card with a patch of the fabric used in the needle book sewn on it, and topped with a little bird. She also wrote the nicest letter inside. Thank you Rosemary (Little RoO) I have to go check on my dad which I do regularly since my mom passed away in March of this year, but when I get back I will post pictures of my needle book. Oh, and Little RoO said this was her first needle book to make. Much better than mine was I made, but I hope I am getting better. I love the learning. Thanks again Little RoO!!

Quote from Doghousemom - "My husband was happy to see "his" flag come home especially so close to the 4th of July (or as he calls it - A big to-do about a cuppa)"

That made me LOL.

DogHouseMom 07-07-2012 05:10 AM

JuneBillie ... another thing we have in common ... we received needle cases with the flag of Britian!

LittleRoo - the case is gorgeous!!!

Everyone ... ALL the cases were fantastic (especially the one I got :) )

Caroline ... THANK YOU so much for hosting this swap. I had a great time making my case, looking at all the others and of course receiving the perfect case you made for me. Or should I say "ta"

peaceandjoy 07-07-2012 05:44 AM

Love the British one, what a great idea to represent the area it came from. Also like the scissors holder in this one much better than in the one I made... Am wondering, after the ribbon is threaded through the scissors, does one end have Velcro or some such to hold the ribbon down? I'm trying to think about how I could adapt this to the pattern I used, modifying both patterns a bit to come up with the "perfect" one. And wow, those pins all in a circle - I had enough trouble just making a straight line, lol.

Thanks, Carolyn, this was great fun!
