Me, three!!! :p

goldsberry921 06-10-2012 04:47 AM

I am hoping to go to my friend's house now that she is back from Louisiana so she can help me with the needlecase pattern I received from one of my swap partners last year. She may be tired, but I know she won't say no to sewing! lol

I've just about finished mine . . . but kept coming across parts, which I should have done BEFORE the parts I just did. . . and parts I should've done just a bit differently. That's the problem with making one's own pattern, I guess. If I have time, I may do a second one, to get it right. I did go back and do the missed steps but they'd look better, done in the proper order. :p At least the second one should go faster, since I (kinda) know what I'm doing, now. Will try to get it done, before revealing the finished product.

i came to the library today to get my swap partner, what a dissapointment. i'll be in the hospital for the next few days, back surgery #7, and out and not able to drive for at least 3 weeks. hopefully, somone else will be able to get me my partner. if it's late, you know it's from me.
happy quilting everyone

can't wait to get my partner, i ALWAYS have great ideas just b4 falling off to sleep. Most of them involove flying, of course, or the impossibler, but i think alot of quilty things happen then....like all the fancy saghortcuts everyone comes up and those new rulers that pop up all the time just b4 a quilt show , an easier way of doing things ruler. so draw the idea if you can't write it, it may be worth alot to others.

lynnie 06-10-2012 09:33 AM

just love them kitties
i think i'm your swap partner

Does anyone know how or when we will be notified who our swap partner is? Will it be by e-mail or on the Board or what?

mary quilting 06-11-2012 11:25 AM

I am wondering the same thing.can not wait to find out who my partner will be

Neesie 06-11-2012 11:28 AM

I hope it's by QB notification, as email often gets lost.

Judith1005 06-11-2012 02:27 PM

The last time, she notified us by pm here on the QB. I too am looking forward to getting my name. I really hope my partner will like something about the one I finished. I don't do that well when I have to hurry. If I have to make one at the last minute.

goldsberry921 06-11-2012 06:01 PM

I hope we find out soon. I'm excited about the swap, I know the few "testers" I made don't seem all that creative but I'm happy to have attempted a new project/swap of sorts.

Good Morning Swappers. I got my NAME. Yeah, this is so much fun. Now, time for clues....... My secret partner lives about 13 1/2 hours from me, In a sorta south westernly direction. My finished needlebook is NOT my partners favorite color. I will have to think on this. I wonder if she will like the one I finished. Hmmmm, thinking......My partner doesn't post to the QB a super lot. But, she's starting to more. lol, Well, that's all the clues for now. Just want to pick up a little something special locally to send to my secret partner and will be mailing very soon.! Will be dropping more hints soon.

CarolinePaj 06-12-2012 04:49 AM

Hi Everyone,

You should all have your partners name, boardname and address now. If you have not received a partner please let me know though I am sure I got you all.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to let me know when you post your needlecase to your partner and when you receive a needlecase from your partner - this is very important as I don't want to chase up items that have been sent and received!

Remember that all needlecases must be posted by the 29th June 2012 - NO LATER - If you are having problems please please contact me..... there is nothing that cannot be fixed!

Can you please remember to put a note in with your needlecase as this is a secret swap and you are not sending to the person who is sending to you.... so at the moment I am the only person who knows who is sending to whom.... so your swap person needs to know who you are to say thank you.

Manners Please remember to thank the person who sends your needlecase. They have spent time and put love into making these items so a thank you is the least we can do.

Okay... no more moaning and nagging from me..... let's all have some fun!

Hugs

Caroline

Just popping in to give you the link to the previous needlecase swap. I had a good time doing it with the others, but I could not sign up for this one because of other committments. Have fun everyone.

Mine is almost finished but I've no idea whether or not "my" person even likes these colors; I'm still waiting on my person's name/info. It was sent but seems to have vanished, into cyber-space. :(

That being the case, I was forced to go look at fabric, as consolation. Went to WalMart, as I also needed a few groceries . . . and found just over a yard of Hot Wheels fabric, which is just what I needed, to go with the Hot Wheels flannel, I found about a week ago. Found them both, in the clearance bins . . . $2 a yard! Don't you reckon that's a sign, to keep shopping?

mary quilting 06-13-2012 02:12 PM

I couldn't make just one it's peachy keen

goldsberry921 06-13-2012 06:02 PM

I found some Mexican Bingo aka Loteria fabric at JoAnn's over the weekend. You know I will be using my coupons to get more of that fabric, but only out of solidarity for you!!! :)

Thank you, so much! Just knowing this, covers me with warm fuzzies. It warms my heart, to know my great suffering will not have been in vain . . . and that as a result of my misery, more Fabric will be rescued! It'll be the Great Fabric Rescue of Texas! Actually, those warm fuzzies look a lot like dryer lint . . . but it's probably just my imagination . . . .

"...and that as a result of my misery, more Fabric will be rescued!" An aha moment, I have never thought of that as a reason to purchase fabric! Light bulbs are going off, I hear sirens, oh... for joy!!!

Wait, if I did receive my partners name... will that disqualify me to buy fabric in sympathy for your plight??? :o:eek::D

goldsberry921 06-14-2012 07:33 AM

Linda,

I think not. It's all for a good cause!! We need all the rescuers we can get. You can never have "too much". In fact, I don't think that is in the quilting vocabulary. Think of it like fabric adoption, it's going to a good home.

The Great Fabric Rescue needs all the help, it can get! Please join us! Fabric needs our love! It needs to be freed from the prison of shopdom! LIBERATE THE FABRIC!!!!

I now have my name! YAY!!! My person's favorite colors seem to be the opposite of what I've made :D so I now have a wonderful reason to start anew . . . and I have an idea, I'm itching to try.

Hang in there, Fabric! I'll rescue you, as soon as I can!!!! I promise!!!!!

LindaR 06-14-2012 09:29 AM

mine is on its way....first letter of alphabet and last letter of alphabet...got it. LOL

Judith1005 06-14-2012 09:41 AM

My secret pals needlebook has been mailed. I hope my pal will like it? :) It's packed full of goodies that I hope will bring a smile to her face. Oh, and here's another clue, My secret pal and I also are in another swap here on the QB..... Oh, and, she's nice and funny and a really good person. Hmm, I don't know if I've helped or not. I guess that could mean ALOT of people here on the board. :) (cheshire cat grin, well, I don't want to make it to easy.)
