well ok so maybe your santee needs measurements to go with that
as they may not be familiar with size.

I'm heading back down in the morning so I hope I can break away from the hospital long enough to hit the quilt show and do some shopping for my SS. If not, Hancock's and the Hobby Lobby aren't to far from the hospital she is in and I know of a quilt shop in Bossier City I can hit on the way home. :)

Praying for you and your mom... hope they find what is wrong...

Dreamer, I just got this machine as my travel buddy. I have only had her for almost a week. Also, I suck at making most of the home deco items. I usually dont make things for myself. I am hoping my SS will see the post and feel sorry for me. LOL

they will need to know the machine and size.

I think my profile says quite a bit and I did post more on this thread, but have to say my SS posted more here and I was very very happy! It gave me a little bit more of a direction to go and fill in with extra's I already had. Actually a lot more so it is way easier and I know (I think) she will like the majority of what I send. Love those little hints that help along the way.

Painiacs 10-07-2013 07:10 PM

Oooohhh jaba maybe its meeeeeee! :-) lol

jaba 10-07-2013 07:23 PM

AHHHH, time will tell, you just never know! The hard part, at least for me, is getting the box and having to look at it until opening day.

The machine is a Brother XL 5232, I dont have the measurements on it but can get them. I can tell you that it has a carrying handle on the very top that flips down instead of the ones on the back. Will post measurements just in case my SS is watching in the morning.

I also have a Brother CS 600i that could use a cover too.

OHHHHH Ill play. I don't have a sewing machine cover to fit "Rosie' my Janome 6600 and she could sure use a nice warm cover for this winter...... :)

mjsylvstr 10-08-2013 03:53 AM

OMG, two days away from the computer and I have 80..that's right, 80....pages to read. Looks like a long day with nothing getting accomplished ...oh well, there's always tomorrow.

grann of 6 10-08-2013 04:31 AM

I don't have covers for my machines either, well except for those cheapie plastic things that used to come with them. But then again my machines get used often enough that the covers get thrown in a corner anyway. I figure why spend all that time making a cover for my machine when I can be making a nice quilt for someone who needs some loving warmth.

All my machines are vintage. My newest one is from the 60s. Everyone metal. I even have a hand crank and a treadle.

You may be getting mail from a Santa's helper. I did that last year and my SS got three different packages from three different states.

ArizonaKAT 10-08-2013 06:21 AM

Here's my hint for the day:

My SS has pets.

My usual breakfast is a lightly toasted Sara Lee (the best IMHO) cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and my homemade apple butter.

New crop apples are in the stores, time to get this yea'rs batch done. And pumpkin butter next -- anyone ever tired to make that? It's really great for a change but my favorite is still apple. And I make my butters in a crock pot, no danger of scorching.

Here's a clue for my secret partner....she lives in a street with some beautiful houses in it!

buddy'smom 10-08-2013 07:02 AM

Oh, sounds great, I love Thomas cinnamon with peanut butter and my homemade rasberry/peach jam. I have never tried apple, is it easy to make? I make applesauce, but my DS always sneeks all my jars out the door with him.
