Good morning! Well, I posted last evening that Santa had delivered my SS package to me. It's said to come from an area that I'm all too familiar with. I grew up in Seattle & Port Orchard is where a lot of relatives lived, as well as Bremerton. I remember my Great Aunt & Uncle having a little motel of cottages on Sherman Road & when I was flying around on my super duper deluxe found that they are still there! We always got to see cousins too, as they all lived on the hill above the cottages. I remember one of the cottages having a stone shower. It was always the neatest thing to take a shower there! OOH! The memories that are flooding back! Thanks Santa for some beautiful memories that have returned!
Hint for the day: Your town has been mentioned numerous times in movies & on TV. |
Every day I make a mad dash to the computer to read all of the new posts. You make my day so exciting with all the posts and then I read the last one of the day and I always want more. Keep posting I love to read and keep up with all of you.
Dreamer as always that last photo was unbelievable. So beautiful. |

Secret Santa Pal, your package(s) are on the way. I hope you are happy with what I sent as I was shopping and crafting for you.
If you are my SSP one of these baby's is on it's way to keep you company in your sewing room. (I am a turtle fan-attic. lol) Of course, yours is different. Guess you'll have to wait and see what yours looks like. :D |

My clue for today is: Hmmm........she doesn't live close to me & I have never been to her country before!!

I GOT A BOX....I GOT A BOX.....I GOT A BOX!!! Too long to wait, and shaking gives no clues
. I will never make it!! OOOHHHH where to hide it until then!???? It came from Santa from his Macon Georgia outlet!! My wrapping is for tonight's job, and then to figure out what size box I need...Hoping to get it out in the mail before the weekend!! OHHH The AGONY! |
I will be mailing off the package tomorrow to my secret santa person. I just printed out the postage. It is going to the middle of the country. I sure hope I got something she likes! I did my best from what I knew about her.
Have fun all you santas! |
Oh, this is all so exciting and festive envisioning all those SS packages making their way around the country and the world!
Since I'm new to this, I wonder if at some point we find out how many of us are in the swap this year. Would be fun to know! |

Well, I wrapped my SSR's gifts and stuffed them into the Flat Rate box. Rearranged them several times, trying for the best fit. Finally satisfied, I sealed the box. Ahhhh! Such a feeling of accomplishment! Feeling quite pleased with myself, I placed the package onto the table, to await mailing. Turned around and . . . my heart sank. I had left one gift on the table by my recliner, to be finished (which will take all of two minutes but I just haven't done it, yet). Ripped open the box and will have to figure out a way to make room for this additional gift. :::::sigh::::: It's probably just as well. When I dumped everything out of the box, I notice one gift's paper had been torn open, while stuffing the rest of the gifts in, next to it. I've got an idea, though . . . .
|
Oh my goodness! I received a box that must weight at least 15 lbs!! I am so excited!! YAY~! I feel bad because I haven't finished packing my box for my giftee... However, soon it will be in the mail. I am making something special to go into the box. When did you all say we were opening them? tonight? hehehehehe just kidding! My son took the box... he is evil!! :D

Hint for my SS: We have a town the same name of yours in my state.

I'm just finishing up a cute little homemade goodie and then it's time to get the wrapping elves moving and the package will be sent. Here's a hint for you. Your state has hosted the worlds fair several times.

Sulabug, the chocolate wormies have been delish! I know I will feed a sugar cookie to Mr Wormie and then eat him up! LOL! I sent my SS package on a looooooong trip and you are a very long way from here but not a looooooong way, hehehehe!
|
Sweet torture, Pat625! Maybe I should come over and take custody until open day, you know just to help out, wink, wink!
|
Morning all! Sugar cookies in the hole? OK, but I'm more partial to chocolate chip, so I'll bring those. I think Sulabugs wormies have escaped! I found one in my coffee this morning! Chocolate all melted & doing the backstroke! Had to fish him out so I can send him back to Sulabug for more chocolate!! They just don't taste the same without it.
Talked to my brother last night about where my SS box came from. Took him for a short trip on my super duper deluxe so he could see the old motel of our Aunt & Uncle's. He thinks the same thing as that it's still in the family. We're going to look into it further & see if we can't reconnect with some long lost relatives. Last we remember being over there was 1966! Talk about a blast from the past!! Today's clue: Your town is the county seat for your county. |

Guess I'll try again, to get my SS box packed.
|
Dear Santaee, I have had so much going on here that I just realized I forgot to wrap your gifts! You should get it soon.
|
I just finished wrapping the goodies....what fun! Then the package will be off somewhere south of me. I do believe the selecting and gathering is a wondrous part of this swap. I found myself studying other quilters in the quilt shop to see what drew the attention of other than me. Were we supposed to be developing self awareness as part of the fun?
