No Facebook what am I going to do. I couldn't get on it again today so I called up my computer fix it shop and he fixed it and some other things for a price of $99. And he did it over the phone in about 45 minutes. Now I'm just worrying about Ebola in my backyard. Well next town to me.

Pat for what it's worth I wanted to comment on your check engine light. Now I probably missed if you found out there actually is a problem, but I can tell you this. Every car we have had bought brand new or otherwise sooner or later, and usually sooner has the check engine light come on. We have been told that a bump in the road sometimes can even cause that darn thing to come on by jiggling the wire etc. Of course as long as other things check out ok, such as fluid wherever there needs to be some, and other things. But I use to get so upset when that check engine light would come on. We had a new car taken back in too, and they would say it's fixed just to have it happen over and over. Dad said if everything else is ok, just don't worry about it. I did, because of being a woman who didn't know how to fix everything and out in the car alone at that time. Just thought I would mention that. Don't take just my word for it though. lol....

JuneBillie 10-19-2014 04:50 PM

Mary nice package from Jan. I love that pretty needle work, and nice goodies too.

lynnie 10-19-2014 05:03 PM

I heard if the gas cap is loose or the little door isn't lathed it could go on too.
Stupid cars!

JuneBillie 10-19-2014 05:05 PM

Pat those pictures are beautiful. I love pics of the fall leaves. I should have taken some, but I didn't. Mary I am considering it. (the next swap) I find them necessary too, and I live on a fixed income. My husband is disabled too, but doesn't get a check, but he does get his medical part taken care of. We live on my social security disability, and a small pension where I taught for 15 years. Most don't retire until after 30 years. I feel very blessed though. I have good friends here. What is better than that? :)

nhnative 10-20-2014 05:09 AM

Susan it seems to be an issue with the fuel as I have Onstar and when the light started coming on I called them and it's a fuel issue. Now it seems like whenever I stop to get gas the car won't start until at least 3 tries so there is something wrong. And now since I'm babysitting for the next 8-10 weeks I need my car everyday so who knows when I can bring it in. Other than that the car runs fine. Just another problem to deal with.

lawsonmugs 10-20-2014 06:28 AM

Do you have someone who can check the in line fuel filter for you Pat? Love the pretty pictures. I've been admiring the local autumn colors. I need to take some pictures too. I hope ya all make it for the next swap.

Just checking in to say HI. Although I haven't posted the past couple days, I still read what's going on. Pat, I love the pictures that you posted. And, the pictures of the pc's received have been super.

I received my pc from Jami McLaughlin on Saturday. It is the cutest cupcake with a spider on top and also a little candy corn one. Thank you so much Jami. Good job! The last of the pc's and nc's should be received soon.

Mary, I love that wallet and will be watching my mailbox for one. :D

Like I said earlier, I am going away this weekend for a much needed break. We are going to spend a couple days at the beach. I will post sign-ups early on Friday morning before I leave. I will be back home Sunday evening and will catch up with everyone then.

lynnie 10-20-2014 10:15 AM

cute little spider cupcake. love the candy corn. wish i had some real stuff now.
Off to make some blocks for a fellow boardmember.

Quilty-Louise 10-20-2014 10:32 AM

This is my first post using my phone we will see how this goes.

My partner should be receiving her PC today.

nhnative 10-20-2014 10:34 AM

Mary it might have something to do with the mouse nest that was under the hood. They cleaned it out and then said it may have chewed on the wires. You would think after 3 times being in the garage they could find out what's wrong.

Karen what a cute spider cupcake and crocheted candy corn. It sounds so funny that you are going to the beach. Here we have sweatshirts on. I hope that you enjoy your mini vacation.

I was at Hobby Lobby today looking at the Christmas things and they had a whole display of nativity sets. I have to admit that the cutest one was with snowmen and a little snow baby in the cradle. So cute.

I hope everyone has a great day

klaws 10-20-2014 12:34 PM

It's still in the 80's here but the humidity is a lot lower. This is the only time I can stand being out in the sun. I just hope it doesn't rain.

lynnie 10-20-2014 01:29 PM

going to the beach, sound great. it's in the 60's today, down to the 30's laast night. went to the furrier
to get ours out. My son was so glad I got his bomber jacket lined with fur for him. He freezes, he's about 5'-1"
and about 100 lbs. and just turns into a snowman when the cold weather comes.
All for going to the beach, follow Karen.

nhnative 10-20-2014 01:58 PM

I went to Lowe's today and was thinking about buying a snow shovel. It's 57 now but going down to 47 tonight. 80 to me is a heat wave

lynnie 10-20-2014 03:59 PM

we're waiting for them to come out. don't want to wait for the last minuet, they go up in price then.
No one has them out yet. hoping this weekend to get one.

Mrs Shak 10-20-2014 05:26 PM

I received today from Karyn! (Not sure of user name) I sure was spoiled! Thank you very much!

Quilty-Louise 10-21-2014 05:10 AM

I also rec'd my pc and other awesome goodies from Karyn
yesterday, and I too am not sure of her board name.

Will try to post pictures tonight when I get home from work.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Karyn for my awesome box.

I was at the hospital ER with my daughter from5:40pm until
about 11:30pm She fell and hit her stomach on the edge of
concrete steps. She fell UP the stairs.

This is my 15 week pregnant daughter. So I was worried and
stayed with her.

Good news is that everything checked out perfect no harm
done to the baby or the placenta.

klaws 10-21-2014 05:25 AM

Louise, I am glad that your daughter is OK. That can be a scary situation.

Mrs Shak 10-21-2014 06:36 AM

Louise, glad to hear that she and the baby are okay, very scary!

I think the top fabric is my favorite one.Pretty print and colors. Thank You so much. hugs Mary:hug: :sew:

lawsonmugs 10-21-2014 09:46 AM

Why are all the pictures coming out so small now? I know if you click on them they are shown bigger.

Mrs Shak 10-21-2014 09:54 AM

Love that owl!

I think when you attach a pic it'll do a thumbnail and you have to click on it. But if you insert a pic it'll be regular size.

lynnie 10-21-2014 09:56 AM

Love the new pincushions, the kitty is adorable, and love that little owl. I want a kitty pincushion now.

Louise, I've been praying for your daughter every day, as i'm sure most if not all of here are.
So glad she and the baby are o.k.

nhnative 10-21-2014 10:20 AM

Louise it's good to hear that your daughter and baby are OK.
What great pincushions
Dwina that is such a cute kitty pc
Karyn also a cute pumpkin pc, and I love the witch hat that I want to make when I find the time.
It was raining here almost all day and the temp is only 49, but it will be in the 60's by the weekend. That is odd as the Quilter's Yard Sale is Sat and it's usually very cold.
Everyone have a great day

ctyankee 10-21-2014 01:17 PM

Great pc's!

jeanne49 10-21-2014 01:39 PM

letsquilt 10-21-2014 03:33 PM

The pumpkin and owl are really cute also!

Ladybug 1938 10-21-2014 03:53 PM

We had a tree cut down with 2 trunks and between the 2 trunks was an exposed root. My creative husband thought that if he painted it gray and added eyeballs to it, it would look like an elephant. It does! Before doing that, he made a table top and added an umbrella.

TiltedEars 10-22-2014 11:58 AM

I've only been able to check the thread every couple of days (busy, not computer issues). I just love the PCs that have come through. Really creative & fun use of colors & extras. This is such a fun group. I'm glad I got back into the groove again. Just took a new job & not sure if time will allow me to play next month. I will try to get something done early & sign-up if I can.
