I would be very happy to send you a bunch of chipmunks, squirrels, red squirrels which are extremely distractive, bats, hawks and deer. I won't send you any turkeys for they like to eat bugs.
Hope you recover quickly from your illness. No fun to be under the weather.
Hugs,
Blue Bell

lynnie 10-22-2014 06:09 PM

Rosemary, how are you feeling? take it easy and you'll get back into the swing of it. I did good with my back surgery, just a tiny part hasn't closed up yet. My right knee is out and needs to be replaced, trying to wait till Jan when my dh has time off from work again. Keep your fingers crossed I make it that long. I fell when it popped out the other day.

I love chipmunks, haven't seen any this year, does anyone know what happened to them??? was ther a virus or something that killed them??

Blue Bell 10-22-2014 06:29 PM

A couple of years ago, we had many chipmunks, but the population is down mainly, I guess, because we have a couple of hawks. They also like to go after my birds.

nhnative 10-23-2014 06:32 AM

Rosemary I'm glad to see that you are getting better. Lynnie I am having some kind of problem with my knee too. I think mine is from old age.
Blue Bell I just love RI especially the mansions in Newport and Cliff Walk. And the ocean and the seafood. I'm now inland in Ohio with only Lake Erie but I have squirrels, hawks, chipmunks, wild bunnies, and then when I go into the National Park there are deer and I'm now seeing a lot of wild turkeys. So far the squirrels are out of my garage and hope they stay out.
Everyone have a great day

lawsonmugs 10-23-2014 07:52 AM

We've got lots of squirrels and deer and turkey and rabbits running around here. It's bow season for turkey and I think deer also right now. So the hunters have all the critters stirred up. Well I need to head to wal-mart for a new printer. Got a free one at a yard sale 3 yrs ago and it seems to be done. Guess I got my no money's worth out of it huh? lol. Have a good day everyone. Hope ya all feel better soon.

lynnie 10-23-2014 10:08 AM

We have less bunnies here too this year. I see them in the spring and then in the winter by their snow tracks.
The chipmunks usually go down the the drain at the end of the walk way, haven't seen too many of them.
the deer live across the street in the cemetery. this past year, there was a baby albino deer over there. He
was so pretty. I think they come and cull them over there.
Wish I had a printer. I need one of those wireless one for the laptop, only computer we have.
I need to go to the library to print. what a bummer.

Making rice and beans, and I can smell them now, so I gotta go. have a great day all. it's pouring here now.

nhnative 10-23-2014 10:17 AM

It's also mating season for the deer so we are being warned about their travels. Usually the only deer I see are on people's lawns and not near my city. That's funny because I need a new printer too. I got some embroidery floss caught inside and when I pulled it out my photos have lines in them. I just bought a new color ink so I'm waiting to use up all my ink and then get one. It prints perfect on paper. Let me know what kind you bought and how it works. I want one with the cheapest ink. I had an Epson and it took 6 cartridges of different colors.

Quilty-Louise 10-23-2014 12:28 PM

Thanks Susan for the compliment on the owl pincushion.

It is a pattern from a quilting magazine (QUILT I think). I loved
the pattern so much that I printed in SEVERAL sizes and made
plastic templates of the pattern.

The size I made for Mary was about 2-3 sizes larger than the
original size in the magazine.

Ladybug 1938 10-23-2014 03:35 PM

Okay ladies I just bought a new printer, LOL Got an Epson Wireless, not sure how to hook up the wireless though,, so need to wait till Rob gets here on Monday .. It's so funny because I have my other printer here and would give it to any of you if you lived close enough, It's to heavy to ship, it's a HP...
I just hurt all over but it's old age and Fibromyalgia.. Get pretty use to hurting one place or another on any given day... Besides being tired... Okay that's enough moaning for me for the next few months, just feeling sorry for myself this minute... :-)

klaws 10-23-2014 03:48 PM

That's OK Rosemary. We all feel like that once in awhile. Hope you feel better soon.

lynnie 10-23-2014 06:29 PM

Rosemary, you should be taking it easy, not hauling around printers!
Some people, do I have to come down to you and sit on you to make you
relax some??? (I'll bring some chocolate wine and we can have cake too).

I posted signups for the November swap.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/member-...ml#post6941154

I will be leaving here in a couple hours for my long over-do weekend away at the beach. I will check back in with everyone on Sunday when I return.

nhnative 10-24-2014 05:03 AM

Karen I hope you have a great time at the beach. I just looked at my temp and it's 38 here. I didn't have to babysit today as Isabella is sick and her mother is staying home with her. I bet I end up getting it too.
Lynnie I just saw that they now have a case of Ebola in NYC. Be careful
Rosemary I'm like you it always hurts someplace. Right now it's my knee.
Everyone have a great day

lynnie 10-24-2014 07:08 AM

Yes, and my son is in the city 3-4 days a week. we're about 65 miles from NYC
we have board membrs in th city too

lawsonmugs 10-24-2014 07:55 AM

Sis ,I also bought a new printer yesterday. I got a canon. It's not wireless. I had hewlett Packard the last 2 printers and loved them. This is the second canon I've had. It takes 1 color cart. and 1 black cart. My h.p. also took 1 black cart and 1 color cart. I had one many years ago took 3 color carts and 1 black cart to many to buy. I buy the cheaper compatable carts through www.injets123.com . There are many online places that sell ink cheaper than the stores even if you buy the name brand carts. Hope this isn't too confusing. Now everyone go sign up for nov. swap. Hugs Mary

JuneBillie 10-24-2014 09:22 AM

Lynnie I didn't know you live that far away from the city.

Hi all, sorry I have been off line all week since computer was at staples getting cleaned up. I did some really dumb things so live and learn. Yes I have pictures of what I sent Linda so here you go. There are 2 pockets for tea bags to take and one large pocket behind for scissors or what ever. Wished I had a spider charm to put in the web.

nhnative 10-25-2014 12:03 PM

What a great needlecase. I really love the fabric and what a great idea to put a spider web on the front. It's not Halloween unless you have candy corn.

roserips 10-25-2014 12:10 PM

I enjoyed looking at all of the pictures that were shared while I was gone hard to say what my fav is but that cat has such a great expression he is just cute! I agree it isn't Halloween without candy corn. I am now signed up for November's swap and look forward to seeing all of the fall and thank full pin cushions.

lynnie 10-25-2014 03:15 PM

Linda, what a beautiful needlecase you rec'd. Beautiful quilting job too

Just got back on the board and Lynnie, think you better come down and sit on me and bring the chocolate wine and cake, I'm being a not so good girl...

JuneBillie 10-25-2014 06:34 PM

What a very pretty trifold needle book. I can't see good, but does it have a little snap closure? I think it does. Very nice.

lynnie 10-25-2014 07:46 PM

Rosemary, I'd love to come down and see you. we could eat chunky bars, they have fruit and nuts, so that right there is 3 food groups. Add the wine and it's good for your heart. We could go fabric shopping, therapy for both of us. Then we could donate a quilt and that's good for the wellbeing, right??? And lets not forget the cake with eggs in it. we'll both be healthy, happy quilters. Now lets not talk about how bad our 1/4" seam allowance will be. but we'll have fun for sure!!!

Now go to be and take it easy!

Ladybug 1938 10-26-2014 06:39 AM

Lynnie and Sis it's morning, been to church and got my little KID fix.( a couple comes to church with a 2 year old named Connor, a 5 month old named Tyler and I'm in love with the 2 year old, he's the Grandson I don't have here with me.. Really enjoyed that... Now off to work on the purse and this afternoon will sign up for the Pincushion swap...

I'm back from my weekend away and the most wonderful needlecase was here waiting for me from Dwina. Thank you so much. I love it! Also, the candy is most appreciated!!! :D

nhnative 10-26-2014 12:35 PM

Now that's a great needlecase, and the candy isn't too bad either.

lawsonmugs 10-26-2014 12:36 PM

Dwena, what a cute jack-o-lantern. Uuummmm Chocolate......what can I say

TOOMANYUFO'S 10-26-2014 01:35 PM

I like how the tri needle case was quilted with a spider web. I'm starting on a pincushionfor next month, but not going to sign up until it is almost done. I've got to get a color of woolfelt that I don't have. If DD doesn't have the color, I'll have to order off the internet. Thanks for the compliments on the jack o lantern
