What a cute owl. He's owldurable. They are really popular now. Love the socks. I have some with owls on them. Another cold day. It's 50 now. I don't know if it got down to the 30's last night. Today I did 2 estate sales. I got 2 Lucy and me bears for $.50/each. Yesterday I got a Jim Shore lighthouse. I was too late for the fabric today but got 4 quilt books. They had a 301A Singer for sale for $90. Now I need to get busy sewing. I'm not going to have my car for 2 days so I better ship it out before I take it to get it fixed. I had some rodent's nest in the engine that is making my check engine light come on. Not happy

how did they get into the engine and make a nest so quickly??? that's horrible.
Sounds like you got a good haul again. it was freezing last night here. Zoey was in bed with
us and we had to close the window and put on a quilt. Thank goodness I'm a quilter and
we had a spare one to put on the bed. Lucky me!

Seems like several swaps are do in today. I'll have to check back later. Lynnie how's your back doing now?

Today I got this wonderful pumpkin pincushion in it's own Trick or Treat basket with really nice beaded pins. I also got some M & M's, a potholder with hersey candies on it, and 2 Raggedy Ann pins and a lovely card. This was from Karen and it was awesome. Thank you Karen

yes it is,but my doctor said it was okay.its a problem if your throat itches or trouble breathing. I had hand and knee surgery in april the itching was terrible but better than the pain lol. always something to deal with when you have surgery. Hope you feel better soon.

hi Mary~~~~ poped my rt. knee out. needs to be replaced, but i'm holing off. Larry thinks it's time i do it again. He doesn't understand the pain involved in a total knee replacement. Oh Buggers.

YIPEE I received my ncases today, much to my surprise when I went and got my mail. I was thinking next week I bet I"d get a pkg. It made my day! A very pretty white with white pearl strain , rose petal lace silky white ribbon with tiny sissors charm with a pretty purple hat pin too. SHABBY CHICK themed very pretty. THe Second NC was Halloween themed with A Halloween hat pin inside. VERY CUTE . TWO more pins were enclosed and a very pretty fancy lace tag with flowers in my favorite colors on it. Good morning everyone! I received 2 AMAZING packages yesterday -- one with a p/c & the other with a n/c! And lots more! It was like Christmas! Everything is wonderful & I will share photos with you when I get home from work tonight. Yesterday the family celebrated my youngest daughter's 26th birthday (which is actually today), so I did not get a chance to post last night or take photos. For you first time girls, I am usually on here, but took this time off, but so so glad you joined up to see how much fun this swap is. :) The hostess of this swap is also great, as are all of the other girls. :thumbup:

We have had so much rain here in East TN. Lots of continuous thundering too. It has settled down at the moment, but more is on the way. All night I would wake up to the sound of the hard rains.

I received a great package from Rosemary (AKA: Ladybug1938). She made me the cutest pumpkin flower pincushion. Those petals are so detailed. She even has bugs on the flower! Can you believe this? She made me pockets for under my sewing machine (I know there is a better name, but I cannot think of it right now)! I've wanted one of these beauties & have never taken time to make one. The pockets were filled with lovelies like hand cream, Skittles (missing from photo...), a candle, book, tic-tacs, hand cream, note cards. Oh my! I was spoiled & I just love everything. Thank you so much, Rosemary!

Incidentally, I did not make it to my mailbox today. I usually check in the morning once kids are on bus. I'll be sure to report if anything else arrived once I get out there to peek.

Lynnie, I had a Halloween panel with witches on it. I just cut some blocks from the panel to make the nc.
