Fall Fun
 

My favorite past-time is training my small team of Alaskan huskies for bike & sled races. I work from home & got "itchy" today listening to the fall breezes blowing outside. I took a 45 minute work break to drive 2 of my house girls over to the State Game Lands for a quick 2 mile bike run. They wear their work harnesses & are hooked to my bike. I still have to pedal a little bit, but they do most of the work for me. It is great fun & so rewarding to share something like this with your dogs.

Love the pic Mary. I don't think I've caught one of a double on my pics. It rained today and I can't remember when it had rained last. The low for tonight is 43 with a high of 51 for tomorrow and then a low of 37. I sure hope I don't get snow. Tilted Ears my son has 3 huskies and this is a pic from the first litter they had.

TiltedEars, love your dogs. I think I've told you about my Sadie.She's gotten so big. About 130 lbs now. The lane your on looks like the road at the end of my driveway(if it were a little wider,not much). Pat those puppies are adorable and mama 's coat looks so healthy and shiney. Well I got my needlebook and pincushion in the mail today. Whew just in time to work on the mystery train quilt tomorrow,.

thanks for the double rainbow, never saw one. very pretty, double good luck. great fur baby pics too. it was so cold here, I woke at 4 and had to close the bedroom windows. maybe rain tomorrow, so that means the apple festival will be cancelled.

I finished my pin cushion tonight! It came out adorable! Hope to mail on Monday. Can't wait to see the works of art that will be delivered soon. What a talented bunch you are!

It is poring rain here right now. Once the front moves through, the weather should be a lot better. They are predicting 77* here tomorrow with low humidity. That will be a welcome relief! I will be able to get outside and finally enjoy the weather.

Karen it was 67* here at 6 AM this morning... Nice and comfortable, especially compared to yesterday's humidity and all the rain we got, would have thought you would have had the rain before us... Need to go get groceries this AM and have a load of towels in... Sis that is from another group I belong to online, Pastiche Patterns think that is the way you spell it, have an online magazine... Went for Mexican last night, really good. My dh mailed out my pc today for me. It's pouring out here, torrential downpours. someone, get the arc!!!! hopefully tomorrow will be nice outside/

I have been on this swap a lot, and doing only one swap this month. I keep trying to get away from all of them for awhile, and seem to have a hard time doing so. lol..

It is in the mid 50's today. Tonight they are giving spotty frost. I guess it really is fall. lol.. The trees are really turning different pretty colors now.

My back is killing me so i need to take a rest now.

I have discovered so many fabrics in my stash that I want to
use for my pincushion, now to narrow down the choice and figure
out a pattern.

I don't want to keep doing the same thing. Just don't everyone
thinking "oh look another box" so I am trying to find a different
pattern.

I have such a heavy heart. It has been over a year since I was in my favorite quilt shop. It is just about an hour away, but not in a direction I need to travel for any other reason. Anyway, when I got there, I was greeted by a lady who I quickly figured was the owner's daughter. Turns out, her mom had a brain aneurysm about a year ago & has been in various rehab/nursing homes ever since. Bonnie is such a talented quilter & her eye for color is the best I've ever seen. Her daughter has been wondering about getting a free-standing embroidery hoop to see if her mom can at least embroider. I will make an extra pincushion & mail it to the shop so she can have one. I found some beautiful fabrics & picked-up a few for pincushions & for the Christmas ornament swap (I didn't miss it, did I?). I always feel sad when I know someone with great talent can no longer use their talent because of health. Aaah, the circle of life...

I was able to get my pincushion in the post today! Won't be long til it's received! My daughter was fighting to keep it!

I just finished my pincushion and I think it came out nice :) it's a first time pattern, so there are a few kinks but it's silly. I can't post a pic since my swappie knows I have her, so I have to keep some suspense! A clue is that it is definitely a trick and a treat :) I hope my partner will like it!!!

Today is going to be a wonderful weather day. I just went outside to get the paper and it is 63* this morning. No humidity. It should get up into the mid-70's. I will definitely be out and about today. Plans are to go to a local flea market. There are 2 in the area that are quite large. Then on the way back to stop at a nice Goodwill store. Maybe I can find some goodies today.

The Canadian geese have arrived. I just heard them honking. :)
