NanaKathy how cute is that. Karen I have the house and the garage and no ambition. Since you did woodworking, I got these antique cedar boxes at a yard sale and they have gunk on them. I cleaned them off with furniture polish but that didn't take it off. I don't want to sand and refinish them. They are just the oddest shapes.
Lynnie good luck tomorrow and sending prayers to you.

Lynnie,I read on the mystery train thread that you are in pain. I guess that means you had the surgery. Are you home yet? Hope you feel much better soon. It's awful quiet on here without you. Keep in touch with us. If you don't feel like it have your son write us a line to say how your doing please. Hugs Mary

JuneBillie 09-30-2014 12:30 PM

Hi Friends, I peek in everyday just so you know. lol...

I caved in to the mini quilt swap for this month. There was an odd number so I made it even, unless someone else joined. Still though, I figured I might manage one to work on slowly for the month. I am still hoping to get a good collection of mini quilts for a collage to put on a wall in our home. They help with my skills too in binding. Let's just say, I am still working on that. lol...

I have pincushions for some holidays, but not all. Come Christmas I may cave on this one too.

I have been thinking of lynnie too. I hope you are resting and get what you need lynnie. Lot's of people on here that love you.

Have a great day everyone!!!! Happy Sewing/Quilting :)

nhnative 09-30-2014 01:14 PM

Lynnie where are you?

NanaKathy I tried goo gone and that didn't work.

Good to see you on here Susan

lynnie 09-30-2014 03:24 PM

Here I am. In pain but I have vicodan so it's not tooo bad. I'm cut on both hips about 5-6 inches long. The right hurts more than the left. They ran the wires to the right side, and the batteries are there too. They put the controller there too so they were working in there more than the left. the left, they just took out the batteries. This time, I'm taking it easy. Not jumping out of bed like I normally do. I guess age is slowing me down, Now I have to concentrate on the knee. That will be a 4 day stay. See, you hit 50 and it's all down hill. Time to replace things. (I'm 55 now) and have been replacing stuff for the past 5 yrs. I'm ready to mail, but it might have to wait till sat when dh can mail.

So that's all that's new with me. I know I'm not drinking enough. usually I drink about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons a day, not even doing a quart. mostly in bed and watching junk on tv.

A BIG thank you for all your prayers and well wishes to me. It means the world to me that I have all you quilty friends.

Just waiting for a name now. thanks to all of you again.

lawsonmugs 09-30-2014 05:10 PM

Lynnie what are you drinking a qt. of a day? Hope it's water.lol Glad your back. Hugs

ljdugas31 09-30-2014 07:09 PM

lynnie, glad your doing well. Surgery is not fun. Take care and glad your back.

lynnie 09-30-2014 07:50 PM

Mary, usually a combination of water and diet ice tea. I drink alot and carry water everywhere I go. did it b4 it was cool to do. Now it's just a habit I can't seem to break. I freak out if i don't have water with me. won't leave the house without a bottle full of water. weird, i know. In the summer I'm worse than the winter.
Everyone have a nice evening. can't wait to see whom I get.

nhnative 10-01-2014 05:06 AM

Lynnie I'm glad to see that you are ok even though you are in pain. Just take it easy.

klaws 10-01-2014 05:20 AM

Lynnie, please take it easy and don't push it. I will be assigning names shortly. That will be one less thing you have to worry about.

lawsonmugs 10-01-2014 07:35 AM

Lynnie, I drink lots of water and green tea. Being diabetic for most of my life I have always drank lots of water. I also carry water with me always and have bottles of it all over the house. (next to computer, sewing machine, bedside etc.) Hope your doing better today.Karen thanks for my names.

klaws 10-01-2014 08:00 AM

Everyone should have their names by now. This month was a little more involved since we chose either Halloween or Fall. I tried to match people with what they wanted. If there are any problems with your names, please send me a PM right away. We had 3 new people sign up so you may see a name that you aren't familiar with. Enjoy and have fun! There is a total of 18 people including me. Nice group!

lynnie 10-01-2014 09:23 AM

Got my name, thank you Karen!
Thanks for being such a great host.
As I said b4, it prob. won't go till Saturday when dh can mail it for me. No driving yet, especially on these vicodins.
Taking it easy, I usually push myself, but not this time.

Quilty-Louise 10-01-2014 01:16 PM

Lynnie - glad to see your posting on here but NO SWAP or internet
is worth being in pain and/or uncomfortable so take it easy please.

I got my name - my partner lives some where in the US (oh I crack myself up).

I might try posting some photos of fabric choices later today or sometime
this coming weekend.

The rest of this week (today thru Friday), and the next 2 weeks (Mon-Fri) I will
be working full time hours. So my posting time will be limited (usually to tired
when I get home in the evenings).

Have a great evening everyone.

lynnie 10-01-2014 02:59 PM

My partner is west of me, just about everyone is west of me. ha ha!!!
Please keep in mind, i can't mail till Saturday, be patient with me.

Old age is getting to me, (I'm 55), I need to take it easy, no more jumping out of bed that day to push myself anymore.
These vicodins even make my knee feel good. I won't need it replaced if I can stay on these things.

Mrs Shak 10-01-2014 03:03 PM

I received my names and got one done today. Hopefully I get the other done tomorrow so I can send them out at the same time.

klaws 10-02-2014 08:27 AM

Did everyone get their names and working on their pc's and nc's? I have mine finished and will be mailing them on Saturday. I've been working on my mystery quilt and almost have everything finished until the next clue on Saturday. I have to start on my mini quilt for this month. I'll probably do that this afternoon. I still have to finish my DGD's quilt. I've been busy. Whew!!!

tlambing 10-02-2014 08:44 AM

I was just thinking I need to make a list of all the swaps and other commitments I've made. I think I got a little excited about it being fall, my favorite time of the year! I'm almost confused by all the swaps and partners etc. A list will be made :)

TiltedEars 10-02-2014 09:24 AM

Thank you, Karen. I received my names & started working on my pc design last night, but wound-up falling asleep with my head on my cutting mat. Woke up at 1 AM to really go to bed. I have fabrics & a whole lotta excitement about the swap. I've sat out swaps for nearly a year now as life has been hectic. I am getting grouchy & need to get back to doing a few things I enjoy, no matter how busy I am. Pincushions are a perfect size project for my time right now. BOTH of my partners are south of me in the U.S.

ljdugas31 10-02-2014 10:22 AM

Got my names. Mailing out Sat.

lynnie 10-02-2014 10:30 AM

mine will be leaving NY on Saturday am. going west of me.

klaws 10-02-2014 11:04 AM

Lynnie, I just read your signature line again. It doesn't fit you. I don't think you have ever procrastinated on anything! :D

roserips 10-02-2014 03:23 PM

lynnie 10-02-2014 03:31 PM

Rosemary, my name b4 marring dh was Hampton, and I live on long island where all the hamptons are, south, north, east west, bridge ect. went upstate to a small B&B, and a lady asked us if we 'owned' the hamptons, I said yes. the lady actually believed us, gave us the best room and alot of towels. Silly lady!!!

TiltedEars 10-03-2014 04:32 AM

I managed to keep my eyes open last night & my prototype turned out very nicely! I want to include an extra goodie or two, so I'll probably mail on Monday. On another fun note: I should be able to pop into my FAVORITE quilt shop tomorrow before my son's soccer game. This shop is about an hour from me & I do not have reason to go through this town very often. I'm giddy with excitement!

klaws 10-03-2014 05:33 AM

TiltedEars, I noticed that you live close to the Allegheny National Forest. I used to go camping there near Kinzua Dam in my younger days. I love that place! I have relatives in the Clearfield/Curwensville area.

TiltedEars 10-03-2014 05:44 AM

MY HOMETOWN IS CLEARFIELD!!!!!!!!!!! What a small world!
