Well, it was my plan to mail out the SP box... But I ran this morning and I came home and promptly fell asleep on the living room sofa, the got up took a shower went upstairs and promptly fell asleep again!! I know better than to stay up to late on Friday night, my running takes me 4 + hours on the long runs and I never made it to the PO Box, so since Monday is a Holiday, I just found that out! I will be sending this package out on Tuesday!

And My SP has played with me before in a Boom Swap! So who is it? Oh yeah, she lives in a different State than me, but you all know I live in the State of confusion!

ME ME ME ME!! I play... oh wait.. I don't.. dangit.. I'm in a boom swap but I don't think I'm in your group at all.. does that still count?

Toomanyufo's could be me.. I like blue.. I drink coffee.. and I like to cook.. hmm..

luvstoquilt.... for a long time I didn't know my natural color either.. but my BF said he didn't like me dying my hair darker and I was like but dying it blonde is wayyyyy too much upkeep.. so he was like.. go natural.. I'm like.. my hair is wayy to flat and boring to do that, at least let me get highlights.. so he agreed to that.. so I'm mostly natural, with highlights (and greylights? ugh, need to get my hairs did again)

Quiltnut4ever, my favorite color is purple.. hmm See I was right, since it's my birthday month, everyone is sending to MEEEEE :D

Finished Fat Kitty for my SP today, just need to block and wash.

Hint: my sp has not posted in this thread and is fairly new here I think.

Would any of you in cold country appreciate this in an SP package, or are quilted items more appropriate? I'm hoping my SP partner responds to this post...although it may have to be sent after the deadline. The rest of the package will be sent on time. Or, I could wait until November to see if I get another snowbird as an SP if I don't get it done timely.

OHHHH Sharon,
This is beautiful.!!! I love the thread color and the pattern you have chosen. Too bad we don't get too much cool weather in Texas, But I LOVE it none the less. I am sure ANYONE would be very happy to have it.

BTW: we are home!!! Praise the Lord, thanks to everyone who sent up prayers on Shea's behalf! Now, to get my SS pkg ready for the mail on Tuesday!
Happy weekend everyone! :)

I love this kitty, i would give it a wonderful home! you need to send it to me, because you know it is Anastasia's birthday this month! Well it did sound good to me! I forgot to put a note in with my SP package, so i thought about sending it out seperate, but I figured The note would get there first and that would be way to confusing, I didn't want to open it up because I used a whole lot of tape on that puppy, so I figured what is a little more tape, I taped it to the back of the box, it is going piggy back to my secret pal... SOOOOOOO, if you get a package with a lot of tape on it please make sure you look at the card taped to the back!

Just finished a sm homemade gift that my sp wanted. Used fabric with motifs of something she collects, so I guess I killed to birds with one stone. Hope she likes it.

A friend of mine recently had foot surgery and she's going stir-crazy in the house... so today we did a tour of the LQS and also the L'XS'S (local cross-stitch shop). And it was at the LXSS that I got a gift that I just finished sewing on for my partner! My stupid machine has gone insane AGAIN and so this adorable little kit was a perfect "hand made" and 110% on track with her favorite things in life!

I'd post a picture but I'm fairly certain that would give it away.

Sooooooo. I worked on the cowl today. Am up to about 10 inches and need to go 26. Nearly halfway there. I can only do this about an hour at a time because my eyes get blurry and useless - need to let them rest a couple of hours before I can begin again. As a fairly new crocheter I clutch the work way too close to my face, apparently, but cannot break the habit.

Hair color - I guess you can tell, I go au naturale and grey. It's not by choice - it's by doctor's orders. I am highly allergic to hair dye and my face and eyes swell up for over a week and I can barely breathe. And there's more, but it would gross you out so I'll stop with the graphic visuals. Doctor said NEVER do it again or I could die or get brain cancer, it's that bad. So, my greys are out there for the world to see. But there is a plus - it's inexpensive to not do anything and have to worry about roots, and a heck of a lot less messy. I can't even highlight or lowlight. Wigs are too uncomfortable and hot. Oh well, c'est le vie. It could be a lot worse.

Missus Fear - I love, love, love your pink cat!! She's adorable and the buttons are a great touch. I have the same fabric (because I love it) that you used for the ground she is sitting on, but have not figured out what to use it for. Your idea was perfect for it. Her adoptive SP is going to be a very lucky recipient.

Laquita - So happy Shea is home and doing better.

Ladybug 1938 - I'd be more than happy to remind you of the November deadline to signup. I have problems enough doing so myself. I think I'll put it on my calendar and remind myself to sign up and to send you a PM, too. I'll apologize ahead of time if I forget. Old people have a tendency to do that.

My SP for this month has posted on the October thread. She is a she. She lives in cold country. She will get the cowl either on time or late, but she will get it. I shopped today and got some other things she wanted but the "one" thing is way over the $10 limit. I'll try to find it elsewhere and not from Beverly's Fabrics. Other than that, I have the package done. Expect to mail by Thursday, but we know how I am when I say that - it'll probably be Friday. lol.

SharonAnne 10-06-2012 08:49 PM

Oops, forgot.

Mdall - I meant to tell you that I love your wreathes!!! They are adorable. You are a true talented crafter!!!

Kathleen - So sorry you broke your shoulder. See, I forgot if I mentioned this already. If it's a rerun, simply ignore my prattling. I got hit by a van while on my bicycle about 20 years ago, and broke my shoulder inside the socket in 4 places. To this day it still hurts and I cannot raise it backward and upward without it catching. Do whatever the doctor tells you and if you have to have physical therapy don't fudge or you will get a frozen shoulder which means you will never be able to move it again. It's painful but necessary. Saying some prayers that your injury will heal completely and quickly.

OK, now I'm done - promise.
