MizMelly, just checked, it is in AZ and shows delivery tomorrow. Wish I could have hand delivered it, maybe one in the future. LOL My dad and sister live in AZ, used to come out every January, but haven't in a couple of years. I do hope to change that by next year!!

Don't worry about label, we can always do one later if we want one, I had trouble getting my things out too so I forgot about it. I thank God everyday we have such a good group! I'm in another one, but it's not at all like this one. I found some more cherry fabric and a fabric by Kaffe Fassette (sp) i needed for another group.

I think I'll come join you...sounds yummy. I am in the planning phase of row 2 got the ideas in my head now to put them on paper....looking forward to sewing after Christmas...life is just too hectic right now.

Boy, I hear ya!! That's why it's nice to sit back with a cup of hot coffee and a bagel with your feet up! I can't seem to get much done after work at night. Especially with all the Christmas stuff to do. But I try not to go anywhere on the weekends, that is my time for sewing. Last Sunday I met my DD and DGD for breakfast, took the dog for a walk on the beach, and sewed. Period. I'd like to do that 24/7. By the way, Petosky stones are easier to find this time of year, but my dog don't like to walk in the wet/hard sand. He stopped, and stood his ground. LMAO at him. Found 5 or 6 nice petosky stones that day. Lost one down the garbage disposal. OOPS!! DH was able to flush it through, but he couldn't retrieve it. He's on the naughty list. Right along with me. LOL Merry Christmas to all. Hope some of the others at least take a breather for a fresh cup and some chit chat.

Hello!! Just darting in to say YES, I received your package Buslady!! I am contemplating some fun blocks based on your lovely letter about your mother!! (in January).
I sure do wish I had time for more than a 15 minute break right now. I'm in charge of moving our library (academic library that is) at the college. Seems they don't want us on the 2nd floor anymore, so we are moving to the 5th floor, and the area is still under construction. So we loaded rental book carts on Monday and cleared the shelving since it has to be dismantled and moved first, and the lighting has to be removed and also installed upstairs. The staff is madly packing areas (we have a LOT of "stuff" to move!!). We've been at it since Monday and are still busily packing and tossing!! Maybe by Friday afternoon (at 4:30), I can sit down, put my feet up and have a G & T or something equally "adult". We are off from the 24th through the 1st, and when I come back to the office on the 2nd, we'll be doing this all in reverse the rest of that week. So, y'all enjoy your relaxation times, have a raisin cinnamon bagel and a cup of coffee for me!!

Oh, my. Maybe we should bring the party to you. We could each grab a cart and empty it while we party. Oh, wait, you said this was a library. I suppose you want the books put back in some sort of order. Ha Ha. We have two, three-day weeks coming up. I am hoping to do some serious sewing!! Keep in touch as you can.

MizMelly, don't work too hard!

MizMelly 12-20-2012 12:18 PM

Well, finished all the hard work of packing. Now it's time to sit back and relax through the holidays (I am off for winter break as of 4:00 today). Then, when we return on the 2nd, we will be unpacking and loading the shelving in our "new" location. Theoretically. If they pay the maintenance people to work over the break that is.
Anyway, I am more than ready for time off to relax and do "fun" things!! I just finished my last commission and will be delivering that tomorrow, so the only obligations I have now are for things I really want to do!! Like quilting!! Yippee!!!

Enjoy your time off. I used to work for the school. I miss the breaks. Summer off. Oh, wel. We always earned those breaks.
