I should have my pincushion, and needle book going postal Monday. Little slow, but I fell in my kitchen. Silly me!! What hurt was my right leg bent under me when I fell on my back. Scared my husband and me, but I am ok. I am plenty sore, using a cane to walk, and using ice. Since the cut off date is May 1, then I will still have it off early.

Today went well. I am extremely itchy! The bottoms of my feet feel bruised. Thank goodness I sit all day. The dr only told me to take benadryl , pecide, tylenol, motrin, and to soak in Aveno oatmeal. If I wasn't any better by today to come in for something stronger. My tummy has been upside down from all of that med. I don't take anything stronger than tylenol on a regular basis. Luckily, I am off this weekend. The benadryl does make me sleepy. Was hoping to get in the "corner" tonight after dinner but I havent made it in there yet. Night is still young!

I am SO allergic to benadryl. No way I'm gonna take that stuff. Feel better.

Tracey (Queen) Hope you will continue to improve. My mom had shingles and she told me how painful it was. I am just hoping the genetics don't follow her down to me. Hope you get well soon. Looking forward to finding out who my PC partner is. Will add a picture when I receive. Wishing for healing in all ways for all of those who have suffered this week.

My partners pin cushion is at her main post office. Not sure how long it will take to sort there in the Deep South.

Tracey - I REMEMBER what it felt like to have shingles.

It has been OVER 20 years since I had them, and I was
in my 20's. Up until I had them I HATED sweatpants in
fact I REFUSED to even own a pair. But when I got the
shingles I discovered that was the ONLY kind of pants I
could wear that didn't cause me extreme pain.

Get better SOON, but be warned sometimes it can take
a few months to be completely over them. It took me 3
months to get over mine, and my father in law got them
back at Christmas and has finally got over them (he is in
his 70's).

Just a quick update on mom.

She got moved to a skilled nursing facility yesterday. ALL I.V.
fluids and FULL DNR is in effect. The only thing they will are
going to give her is something for pain if needed, and some
thing to keep her calm so she doesn't get highly aggitated.

Since she isn't eating or drinking it basically means she will
become severely dehydrated again and starve. But the Dr.
told us that she is in her final stages dementia and nothing
they (the Doctors) or us (the family) can do to now to stop
the course of nature.

Dad was having a real hard time accepting the fact that mom
just wasn't going to get better. So on Wednesday it became a
matter of me taking over as medical decision maker by proxy
for moms final care.

I final told dad that it was all in Gods hands now and we just
have to accept it and let God do his thing.

It seemed to help him accept the truth.

This is so painfully HARD for me, because through out her
WHOLE life she has had the will to live and it all started at
birth for her when her parents was told she would not live
to become a teenager. Plus another MAJOR life threatening
issue.

So sorry Louise, it is a very hard thing to deal with. Went through your situation about a year ago with my husband. His mother was in the same situation. Hard when we lose the one's we love so deeply. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
