Just got back from the vet again ... poor Feeney has been puking ever since he got his shots ... so he got another shot to stop the reflex. On the way out the door I noticed something odd and shiny on his butt. She forgot to take the thermometer out! YOW!

OMG that poor baby. I know he did not like that one. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

You made me giggle Krystyna, sorry for your dog, it's really not funny. I must be tired tonight. Just sent my partner a PM for her info, told her she was my 1st swap for a doll quilt. I love Iowa! My DH is from Iowa, my son-in-law is from Iowa, and now my June partner, Cogito, is from IOWA! To me that is interesting. We have PM'd each other already so we're good to go! I tend to get impatient so when I heard way back when that June would be 'red, white and blue' I got right to work since my May quilt was already in Alaska! (And before I misplaced my r,w,b fabrics haha) Never occurred to me to ask what my partner might like -- WYSIWYG! If she doesn't like it, she can send it back and I will make a different one, right? 'Course, I may want to rethink that idea, haha.

I've got my pattern picked out and have pulled several fabrics to audition.I never realized how much Red, White and Blue I had. I need to make a quilts of valor to burn through some of it. If I do that then I can buy more. LOL!

My June mini is done except for the label. It is not perfect -- I could never make a perfect quilt, haha. But if I did, someone else made it for me. The idea percolated up from the grey matter and I was on it like a Junebug--pardon the pun! I'm happy with it so I know Cogito will be happy. I do believe she and I are twins who were separated at birth.No peek, sorry.

I'm back! But now I have to walk the dogs :thumbdown: -- hubby is working the midnight to 8 am shift and went to bed. Stinker. Poor Feeney hasn't pooped for a couple of days. I hope he isn't jammed up with Chinese rawhide. I really love my vet. I know that she was exhausted -- they just got back into the office after it was destroyed by Sandy and she is really very good and very reasonable. Things happen. And even before the thermometer episode, she didn't charge for the visit. Will be back soon ... and hopefully minus one poop bag!

Do I have a wonderful son or what? He attends RIT in Rochester. Genesee Valley Quilt Club is having a huge quilt show at the field house there this weekend. He went to the gym and took this picture from above and sent it to me and then called to make sure we will come. He sure knows the way to his Mom's heart!

Hey -- I went to RIT!! We were the first freshmen on the new campus after they moved from downtown to Henrietta. I keep missing that show .... never get back to visit the right time. My sister-in-law works there.

LOL The things we worry about with our pets. Nina went to the park today to see the children play their soccer game. We all had a dog poo baggie in our pockets in case Nina went when we walked around at the park. Here are some pictures of her in her new camping sweat shirts I made for her last night in about 10 minutes 6 outfits. I am cleaning the house and had some old sweat shirts and pants, cut off legs and sleeves, added slits for her leggies and now she is ready to go camping up north. Not the fanciest but it does the job.

Anna, she is so adorable! Still no poop for Feeney.

Thank you Jaba! Argentium is in again this month and Jaba has generously agreed to take on a second partner! :thumbup:

RATS! I was going to do that! Oh well since I haven't even cut Anna's out yet....hmmm. I am so sorry for Feeney..bet the poor pup has a tummy ache!

On another note ... while I was at the Floriani class (aka sales pitch) yesterday I saw a basket of quilting books and patterns marked down 75%! Well, who could resist? Goodies to browse through and then to pass on to my QB friends! Wheeee! Anyway, there was one for a raggedy flower quilt so I decided to try one as an experiment. Red white and blue. Guess what? I forgot to wash the red. Argghhhhh! I haven't tossed it in the machine yet ... of course I'm not done piecing ... but do you think those color catchers would work? I'd hate for it to be red blue and pink! :shock:

I can honestly say I always leave feedback. I can always take on another partner if ever needed!!!

I seemed to have pretty good luck with using the color catchers. An old piece of white terrycloth would work, too, or so I've heard. I mailed my Red, White and Blue June Mini to Cogito just now. Good to go if anyone else needs a partner, Krystyna. Glad Feeney pooped--must have had you worried, for sure!
