Ladies I am really loving the different summer blocks, I wished I could figure out how to do paper piecing, I attempted to do one for a mug rug swap this month and I failed. even watching the tutorial on line confused me.

DeeCee - I have a square ruler I think it's about 12.5 inches - it is an Omni --- I'll have to look. Could not find it recently but think it's in a box with my other project (first full-size quilt).

I'm making them bigger and when they are all finished will be cut down Yes, practice (makes passable)!

Deecee your drink is magnifique.

Deecee, your block looks delish!
Still on E coast, returning home this weekend. Could use some travel prayers!
hugs,
dj

K-Roll drag that ruler out - it will make trimming up your blocks so much easier.

Safe travels dj.

Hi Linda, I will get those blocks posted here for you tomorrow. I've just had a lot going on at home. And, have been working a bit more with DH and son.

Have two 6.5" & one 12.5" rulers and 2.5" & 2" binding buddies, simply cannot quilt without any of them.
Made it home, thanks for the travel prayers!
hugs,
dj

I'm working on 6" blocks at present (the 365 Challenge) and wouldn't be without my 6.5" square ruler - my favourite tool.

Glad you are home safe and sound dj.

Hi everyone, just posting to say I am still in. The last 3 months have been hard on my health, had to deal with pneumonia and found out I am a Diabetic and have Hypertension. Feeling much better now and ready to get back to my squares, I will try to post some photos next week of what I get done by then.

I love all the blocks that have been posted so far, great job ladies.

Irene C hope your health gets sorted properly. I had pneumonia in Dec - no fun.

Deecee - I dragged out my ruler and it's 9.5" well I would have thought it was at least 12" - but tra la la, another thing to pick up at the sewing shop. I'm going to look and see if I have a 6.5" ruler. I also have a little 2.5" square ruler, for some reason.
