tealfalcon, I think you need to be in timeout for just a minute for causing our ladies heart palpatations! LOL! Can you say...beootifool blocks????? :)

You guys are driving me nuts! How am I ever going to even get these gems swapped out? I will be petting blocks and have to go in timeout myself. Shiesh! :)

So glad no one is listening to you Fraew all these blocks are great:) :)

QuilterMomma 11-02-2012 02:17 PM

Oh that is so wonderful. Love that block!!!! What an awesome choice of fabric. I had to stop and pick up some background fabric for a runner I am making with a friend and had to buy one yard of snowman christmas fabric. It was so cute. Then to see that block, it makes me want to go and buy some more! But, alas, have to try harder to stick to the plan.

You have a plan? I need one of those... I "fly by the seat of my pants" most days. LOL

Fraew 11-02-2012 02:46 PM

kensington and QuilterMomma you guys are killing me with you avatars! :D

I could use one of those plan things to. Where can I get one?

jaba 11-02-2012 02:48 PM

tealfalcon that is absolutely beautiful!!! I so envy the paper piecing, I certainly hate it and don't really have a legitimate reason, just 1 of those things I guess. I'm looking at all these and need to apologize to each one of you, My blocks really fell short. I was use to the block swaps and thought this was the same, not, promise it will be better next year. That's what happens when you haven't participated in alot of swaps.

tracibug 11-02-2012 02:48 PM

love, love, love this block, tealfalcon!

Muse&Sew 11-02-2012 03:15 PM

Tealfalcon, love your cute block! :)

QuilterMomma 11-02-2012 03:21 PM

I am working on scaring those UFOs into submission.

As for a plan, well, it is like this........... You just do it! and if that doesn't work, you stomp on it beat it up and throw it back into the cupboard so it can multiply with illegitimate pieces ufos, then you have more fun.

Send them all to me and we'll just call it even. Let's just keep it between you and I.

Maybe add a 1.5 inch log cabin style border on two sides, to the corner?? Then when you take off the half inch for seams it will be 12.5. Use a bright red or Green?

I would put a border around them perhaps as Kensington suggested, or you could do as Frae suggested and just send them to me. LOL! :) Oh hi Frae! :o Didn't see you there...

Wow I've been gone I think a couple days and so many post read and so many more blocks made.Wonderful blocks, everyone. I am so excited I should of made more blocks to send in. WOW i did send the quota but thinking we should of made it 10 sets or something. :)

letsquilt 11-02-2012 09:45 PM

I finally have three sets done and I had so much fun with them I think Im going to make three more sets tomorrow, already cut fabrics and have down loaded my embroidery pattern. Im going to try to post pictures tomorrow or maybe when my hubby gets home Sunday he can help me figure it out.

jaba 11-03-2012 07:59 AM

I love them no matter what size they are. RWquilts can send them to me and I'll even put on my own border if I need one. Problem solved

Fraew 11-03-2012 09:03 AM

tealfalcon I think you've started a bidding war! :D

ok so i got put in timeout haha...so while i was in timeout i made my last batch of blocks...reverse applique and i plan to add a bow after its quilted to make it look like a hanging ornament....
i also am adding a picture of a blue circle of geese bc i know someone is wanting blue...and good news only 2 of the circle of geese blocks are 12 inches the rest are all 12.5 so if its ok with everyone i will take one of the 12 inch ones and maybe someone else will take one or i can add a small border...

jaba 11-03-2012 12:17 PM

Very nice, I guess you got yourself out of the naughty corner, not fair, not fair at all :) I would have come in there with you, it's pretty comfy.

Fraew 11-03-2012 12:22 PM

Ha ha ha! Come on up girlfriend! :)

urgodschild2 11-03-2012 04:28 PM

Oh my goodness. These are all looking so dog gone cute that I need one of everything. SIGH. But I only made 6 sets. So at least I will get 24 of them. I love the blue. The geese one is very interesting and I don't mind that it is 11 1/2. I would make it work somehow. I think that we should all go up an help Rhonda swap them out. Of course you all don't mind if I pick mine first do you??????

owlvamp 11-03-2012 05:47 PM

I was going to say the same thing it doesn't matter the size to me either. Will make it work.

The blocks are beautiful. At least in the corner you were able to get some work done. Normally your in the corner to think about what you did wrong. I like your corner.

SewMomma66 11-03-2012 08:13 PM

This is so exciting! I did a Halloween one last year and it was so much fun.

rwquilts 11-04-2012 06:38 AM

I've received two more squishy packages filled with blocks from Ccorazone & Urgodschild2. :)

QuilterMomma 11-04-2012 07:24 AM

I am with you on the cuteness of them all, but since I made 6 sets as well of five each, doesn't that make it 30? I certainly hope so because I just have to have them all for Marlena's quilt.

I love those blues! Shame we can't put in requests, isn't it? Then again, I've liked everything I've seen so far.
I am finally done. Not too happy with some of my points, but they are what they are. I'll label this afternoon and get them in tomorrow's mail. This has really been fun and I can't wait to get the blocks back.

Lovely blocks! And...more blue. :)

craft phanatic 11-04-2012 09:58 AM

I'll be sending mine out on Tuesday!

javin22 11-04-2012 10:12 AM

tealfalcon- I really like your ornament blocks. So cool. I have never tried reverse applique. Looks time consuming.

Yes it does make 30 but you get one of your own designs back.

rwquilts 11-04-2012 03:20 PM

Thank you Urgodschild2 for answering QuilterMomma...sorry, I didn't see it.

KLTQuilts 11-04-2012 07:14 PM

Belfrybat - were you successful? Just type the word "bug jar" in the SEARCH box (like jaba mentioned below) and you'll be on your way into making a ton of jars ;-) Have fun!!

KLTQuilts 11-04-2012 07:15 PM

Me, too. I'm so excited - everyone has made such stunning blocks . . . I wish I could have one of each!

Yes, thank you. I was looking under patterns instead of using the search feature. Lots of good ideas there.

My squishy is in the mail using Priority flat rate envelope, so hopefully it will get there in plenty of time. This has been a fun swap.

atpegsquiltstudio 11-05-2012 06:44 AM

morning - I will be sending my blocks on the 13th after I get paid. Hope this is acceptable. I have them all ready, just need postage.
Have a great day.
Margaret
