I've been trying to get an updated picture of Serenety but everything I took is to dark and the ones her momma took don't work for getting a close up of her face. so if that doesn't work I may see if I can get a pic of one of our other little ones. I've also been trying to get a good pic of Colton but nothing there either. my cam corder takes dark pics no matter how I have it set. I need better lighting LOL

For clarity, is this a block swap or an item swap? I want on the list for the item swap only I think.

    Correction: Scrappy item swap

I apologize for listing it as a block swap. It is an item swap this time.

Anything small works. Mugrug / Table runner/ mini quilt/ anything you want to make.
You can discuss it with your partner.

We'll mail in 2 weeks. Mail on or before Feb 22.
You will contact your partner and get the address and any info you might need as to what to send.

    Scrap swap thread

I was getting confused too. So I started a thread just for the swaps. I should have done this to start with but thought it would be better to keep them in one place. Live and learn.

Eventually I'll probably do this.....old towel as foundation, cut to size or maybe doubled over, foundation piece down scraps, and bind. The one in the picture isn't bound, and I guess the edges could be zig-zagged, but in my experience, towels fray pretty bad. It looks like a fast and useful way to use scraps. I don't think it need be limited to the bathroom either.

if you haven't seen it yet I did a tutorial on using color in the same quilt block made with HSTs. Some of what I used is scrappy and I thought you might like to see them.

Here is the block I received from the last swap. Isn't it awesome? I don't think I've ever met a log cabin block or variation I don't like. This one is in colors I love and would use myself. It kind of reminds me of a snails trail block too, which I also love. Thank you TooManyUFOs!

Wouldn't that be a stunning scrappy quilt with the soft blue blocks surrounded by white or yellow sashings? Very pretty block.

The blocks are so pretty! Not sure which signup I was on, but my partner and I are exchanging scraps and such! Can't wait to see what she sends...it was super fun to go through my stash and find things I thought she would like.

Thread #3 has great gift ideas for scrapers. I saw the eyeglass case. I would love that.the crazy quilt one. It would be greay for glasses, sunglasses rotary cutters, or even scissors. Hint, hint, hint...i want one!!!!!!
