my quilt is on the long arm, waiting. work has been crazy since i returned from vacation, today I chose an afternoon of birthday shopping with my 8 yr old grand daughter who asked to include a quilt store so she could get more fabric for another doll quilt... that just made me melt. She wants to learn how to make doll clothes too! Tomorrow is a quilt show an hour away, looking forward to that too. Sunday is scheduled for quilting!!!

Ligia,
I know she will absolutely love these colors for her bed. How is the weather in Miami? Very gloomy in Rhode Island today. Enjoy your visit to the states .. I am really anxious to see the quilt up close. You do such beautiful work.

Sunbonnet Sue is now sandwiched and basted and ready for quilting. Have a lot to do this weekend, though, so probably won't get to it until after taxes. But I feel "caught up" and no longer worried about meeting the deadline. Now I have to figure out how best to quilt Sunbonnet Sue squares. Any suggestions?

Jillain, I think I'd either echo quilt them or fill in the background. My project is still in the binding pile - but I finished the big quilt I was pushing myself to get done last night. Quilt show today, clean house tomorrow, then back to the UFO pile

I need some ideas how I should put this Baltimore Album quilt together for Wuv2quilt she had some very serious operations which might prevent her from finishing my quilt but I designed this for her and I plan on finishing it for her.I have about 14 blocks done. Should I do some type of sashing or put it on point? All suggestions will be welcome.

wahoo, my quilt is off the long arm, and I managed to get the binding sewed on so it has made it all the way to my recliner for the hand stitching! I must say that I am pleased with the way that it looks, might just have to make another for the quilt show!

I'm hoping for good news on Tuesday...or at least some idea as to how long the nerve damage will affect my arm, or if anything can be done about it, Hugs and Blessings to you and the DH, Beckie

Great feeling to be caught up. I need to get there sometime soon. All hits at once I suppose when you leave things in their to do pile and play on the board. On the SBS quilting, I like to do an echo of the design and quilt on the actual SBS to enhance the features of the sue on the back with SID around her. It looks so nice on back. Depending on your setting and sashing, I would do feathers in the sashing, and borders. If you have more than one border, do a nice ribbon in the tiny border and the feathers in the larger. If you have setting blocks, I would do the traditional feather wreath or heart with some crosshatch. I love heavy quilting on my sues and I do not know how you will quilt yours, hand or machine. But that is some ideas without seeing the quilt top.
