I can do two blocks also. I tend to sit down and sew all the blocks in 2-3 days so 12 or 24, it won't matter since it's 2 of the same thing each time. Just let me know what we decide.

I started cutting my sample block (rick rack) and a f8 will not work for the black. Would anyone be apposed to using your own black and I send the colors I would like to each in each block?

And I will do 2 blocks if needed.

Nelco:

Are you going to be happy with all different shades of black as the background? I know in my stash alone, the stack of black FQ have many different shades from black/black to a blueish/black even though they are mostly moda bought at different times from Hannocks. Something to mull over.

To do one block it looks like it would take about a 12" x 26" piece of black (if you cut very carefully) so it would be safer to imagine a 13" x 26" in case it wasn't squared off.

I can do what ever any and all decide. I am very flexible. I tried my pattern and it was not hard to do at all. Of course, I am not perfect so you can see it is a little wonky in parts but I don't think it will matter at all. It doesn't matter to me. Here is a picture.

OK, I will give my block another try today and keep record of how much I use for the black.

I signed up again and I am so looking forward to this swap. Here's my 1st thought on my fabric and block. Please let me know what you think and if this is doable for everyone?

I was thinking of the Jacob's ladder, from Quilter's Cache patterns. I would provide the background fabrics and everyone else provides the different scraps of either blue, purple or green. It can have other colors with the main colors. I am requesting you make each block scrappy, with more than 1 color. I was hoping each piece could be a different fabric and or color. Another words the scrapper the block the better. I was wanting to make this an adult quilt. So please no child's fabric or solids.
