Ok I know if you count the names on our list there are 13 already with craftyone27 being 14. But I don't count yourself as others are making your block. So you would only get 12 made or 13 if crafty is in.

Shades of purple. Pretty much like the picture. I'll send the gold fabric.

Easy Peasy .... Since it is getting close to the end of sign ups, some of you people with split personalities will have your chance to shine.

What Barb is suggesting is NOT that everyone is to make 2 blocks for everyone but rather make 2 blocks for only 3 people (providing we don't get 3 other takers before the end of the month).

For example if I decide I want to take one of the vacant spots, I'd sign up again as Moonwork42029 #2. I'd send out 2 sets of fabric and directions to everyone, the same as if I was a totally new person joining up. You really are only making a total of 15 blocks (since you "won't" be making one for yourself in the swap).

Clear as mud?

With this in mind, Barb would like to know if there are any of our existing crew that would like to be like an amoeba and split into 2 cells and pretend you are now 2 different people. This could result in some hilarious postings from both sides (good twin/evil twin) while the swap is going on.

Of course if we have 3 other people sign up, then you can pretend you just imagined this post happened. Remember, what happens in a swap, stays in the swap.

Oh...just a thought...please don't try and write your name in the empty blanks on your screen...you might hate me later if you do.

So sorry you haven't been feeling well Barb...I spray everyone with Lysol when they come in my office if they even look at me cross-eyed and clear their throats.

I could go for a 2nd spot - but I would need to do same block only smaller - I'm not sure if that would be confusing?

Here is the quilt I'm planning to make - once we're done with this swap, I'll have all the big outer border blocks finished and just need to sort out the 9.5" ones.

would that mean we would have to set up a new account with our other name? Or just use it here when we post something? I do have an evil twin sister that could help out. Just ask my sister how evil she can be. LOL

Nelco.... no it would be the same account

mmmmm...imagine ... like :

"This is moonwork #2, the nice kind gentle quilter, unlike my evil twin Moonwork. I'll "note" my M#2 comments so you can tell which one I am."

Or we just post normal for both positions and pretend to be evil.

And as far as you Nelco being evil, it sounds like you don't let her sleep due to your snoring...time will tell, maybe she'll spill some good dirt on you for us.... bahahahahaha Oh JoKid...fest up spill the beans ..... Oh, I love having sisters

OK now I am so confused. If I signed up for two spots like The MamaHauser did last time, I would send out two sets of F8 to everyone. That would give me 24 or 26 blocks? Hmmmmm I was trying to figure out how to make it so all you got was 16 blocks. So if I did it that way then I would send two sets to only three people on the list. I think I must be the evil one. LOL.

MamaHauser, I am willing to do a smaller block as long as I get the instructions.

No Barb, you are a little confused in some ways...

Pretend you are now Barb #2, the evil tweak but can sew like a wizard. Barb #1 sends out her F8 and gets back her 15 blocks back.

Barb#2 sends out her F8 and gets her 15 blocks back.

Barb #1 will make blocks for every F8 she receives as Barb #1 which would be 15 blocks (including one for Barb #2)

Barb #2 will make blocks for every F8 she receives as Barb #2 which would be 15 blocks (including the one for Barb #1)

Of course Barb #1 and Barb #2 don't have to really make blocks for themselves if they don't want to so they each would only make 14 blocks since in reality 2 of them would be coming back to them.

It's an out of body experience kinda....you treat each sign up as it's own individual swap member. Everything you do as Barb #1 you have to do as Barb #2.
