I will try , he still has not sent the last one to me from the Wall Hanging exchange from before. I am sorry, I thought you had my new address. I have been here since January and thought everyone had it by now.

He might send it, We can hope~ I do have an address forward with the Post office, but I have never received anything forewarded, except bills that he sends me LOL.
Give a smile away today, someone you meet might need one!

Hey there Rhonda, you had mentioned that you send stuff overseas all the time and I am wondering about how long a package should take on average to get there (UK).

I have not received word one, from either the person sending to me or the person I sent mine out to. I am starting to worry about the one going to the UK, not so much about the receiving one. That one will eventually come. Can you reassure me that it takes longer than seven days to fly across the pond? Thanks
    peace

EDIT: I did PM her to let her know to look for a package from me.

A week is optimistic. even here in the states it can take up to 10 days to 2 weeks. I wouldn't panic yet. I'd give it at least 2 weeks. It varies depending on where it is going of course. I can send something to France and it will get there in 4 days. But send something to Canada and it takes up to 18 days to get there. The post is hard to figure out!!! I'm sure it will arrive safe and sound. You also have to remember it has to go through customs as well as the postal service. Customs can really slow it down.

Also yours should be in the mail soon. She is finishing up the last of the binding and should be mailing.

You're welcome! I love sending overseas. I send out my free templates and I 've sent to France Spain England China Russia Ireland SriLanka Columbia Australia Lots of those South Africa Wales Greenland Vanuatu Guam Canada and probably some I can't think of rt now. I love sending them out and going international with my templates and methods. It's fun! and generally not all that expensive.

Okay I will continue to follow up on those who haven't mailed yet. For those of you who are waiting I feel for you.
Hopefully the 4 that havnen't mailed will be able to in the next day or two.

the only other way I can do this is to make it so you must have a wall hanging completed before you sign up.

So would you all rather go back to partners instead of the rotation style I'm doing now? I don't want to lose posting progress pics and having all the discussion. That is why I didn't want to have partners.

Other wise I could have you all mail to me and I could send them out then they would still be a surprise.( and I would get to see all of them and pet them LOL)

Rhonda, that might be fun for you, but a lot of added work, and added postage. I think this way works, but maybe a person can say they are going to do it, sign up, but not actually get a partner until they tell you they are finished. That way the ones who are fast are matched up with the same and the slower ones also. But I don't know how much extra work that would be for you. I think you should make it easy on yourself first. You're right. I need to go back to my original idea when I started this swap. Whoever has a finished wall hanging by the mail date gets an address and mails. All others will have to wait for the next one to mail.

It would be fun to have them all come here tho!!! LOL Hmmmm maybe a big early Christmas party for me????

Cute hanging for your quilting room. Still waiting here. Probably best to just move on to the next one and hope for a better outcome.

Hi, everyone. I can't wait to post a pic' of my WH when I get it and Rhonda, I do like the way you are doing the swap. Your idea about only sending names to those who post a picture of a finished quilt is a good idea but might discourage people from signing up. Personally I am not so worried about receiving the quilt on time. What I see happening here is people who receive quilts aren't responding properly as a simple courtesy. Isn't that what this is about? Being in touch with people and sharing? This is the disappointment I feel most. It has been a nice time watching and reading all the posts through out the exchange. I only hope everyone can be more encouraged to participate in a greater capacity. peace

Quiltaddiction, that is a beauty pbadder made for you, looks like a snapshot of messy fabric stash.

Still waiting to receive my wallhanging.

Acknowledgment of a wallhanging by posting a comment or photo should be common courtesy. If you can't do either, let someone know and they will post the acknowledgment. I always leave feedback to my partners too.

Nancia, it would be great to have you join this time, if you can. You are very involved even when not participating. Fun!
