Row Robin 2011 group 3 - *3's a Charm*

Sherry, I saw a demo at guild about making labels with the printer. I want to verify the directions, so will email Karen to see that I have it right.
Although they are to be sent by the 15th, my idea is that if we do "show and tell about Feb.7, mail the 10th, we have still met the deadline.
Mariah.

MAKING LABELS---
I got ahold of Karen who gave the demo at Guild Mon. Eve., so here are her directions for making labels.
1.choose font of your choice.
2. tipe in wording; enlarge. can be trial and error.
3. on regular copy paper, copy your wording from #2. Lay on freezer paper-non-waxy side down. Draw a line around it.
4. Cut out, NOT ON THE LINE; GO ABOUT 1" out.
5. With waxy side down on fabric, then iron on the back side of the fabric.
6. Cut on the line--on freezer paper and fabric. Check that freezer paper and fabric is bonded well. Touch up as needed.
7.Send throught the printer just like a sheet of paper. It should print on the fabric.
8. Let dry about 20-30 minutes.
9. Cover with 1 sheet of paper towel, after having tried-#9.
10 Press over the paper towel.
These are done one at a time.
Let me know if you have any questions, and I will call and check it with her.
If time allows, I hope to make these. If not, I will use the ones I have from Keepsake Quilting. Bookworm said it can be our choice.

There might be another time that we can make everything original, is my thinking. The New Year always finds me doing things I should have done months ago, but didn't. So, it is "catch up time," and extra stuff to make for Guild.
Hope you are having a nice day!
