I know that Mdm'w was places you have been so she can have a travel type of quilt. There are blocks that are state oriented, embroidery ones, appliques, pieced for sure. So if that helps some. I have seen nothing either. I think it is with Scrapper right now. Mdm could not post photos because of the camera deciding not to work which is a bummer. If not mistaken, that is the only row you have left on this swap right? I know I have yours, one more on scrapper, and then mdms as well. I am going to be busy. I have started on yours Wanda, mulling ideas on Scrappers, just need to decide the final look I want, then purusing block patterns for mdms.

Scrapper is still around. Saw a post on another row robin. I am sure she will be posting here soon enough.

Hey Mdm, are we allowed to do machine embroidery for your blocks? I have a couple designs that I thought would depict a couple places I been.

QM do you know what colors are in mdmsewnsew quilt. I know the theme is magic carpet ride.

It is my observation, that there are no real predefined colors. We are doing five blocks that depict of where we been that measure the 60"x 12" finsihed row. So I do not believe there is any predetermined defined color scheme. If so, then I may have to throw my ideas out the window and start again. Of where I have been, or dream of going, we are getting all colors involved. Hopefully she will chime in here. Also hoping to hear from Scrapper as well. We are almost done, lets not fall apart now. We are at the end girls. Last leg of the race. We can do it.

I think I feel like the Miami Heat last night on Game 7, we are almost there, we can do it. Lets not fall apart. Feel sorry for Tim Duncan, missing that shot and then his own rebound. Yikes. Poor dude.

sorry I haven't been on QB for awhile, just too much to do and no time to do it lately - what I am hoping to have is a magic carpet type quilt, no color schemes, no matchy-matchy, no 'coordinating' - just blocks representing places you've been or want to go to, I sent muslin labels, pens and basting pins so you can write your name and a little bit about each block you do, pin the label to the appropriate block, and send them on. Once I do the layout, I will take your labels and sew them in the same order as the quilt top so I have a history/story board as the label on the back of the quilt.

I had suggested earlier that instead of poor Scrapper having to come up with 10 blocks, that everyone just do 6 blocks (their 5 plus one extra) - that way I would have 24 blocks minimum, but I could think up at least five or six places I want to go before I get too old and crickety to travel to use to enlarge the top if I wanted to - somehow that idea didn't seem to fly. Also, I really was hoping there was someplace that we've all either wanted to visit or have been to, like Ireland or Hawaii, that everyone would make their own block to represent that place, they'd all be different because we're all different, but it would still be something that ties us all together, that makes us Quilting Cousins. Anyway, please don't go all rigid and quilt-police on me, I want fun and fantasy and lots of fabulously unique blocks because we are all fabulously unique!

BTW, I have a cat who is very 'kneady', so embroidery is not a good idea, anything with texture gets her claws moving - was out looking for a new chair today, about the only fabric I can get is microsuede or leather - they're the only things she doesn't try to claw to death!

also, please don't sew your blocks together, I will be playing with the layout and then sashing them together when I find the perfect design. I want to be able to begin playing with them immediately instead of having to break out Jack the SeamRipper to pull the blocks apart. Thanks.

    Hugs to everyone

Mdm thanks for the update, I will make 6 blocks, maybe three places I have been and three I want to go.
And I will wait on the muslin, to add notes. what a great quilt it will be.

Still no word from Scrapper and I have not received any rows yet. I am so hoping she is ok. I sent her a card to let her know we are thinking of her. I am still in the drawing phase of what to do for the last three rows I need to get done. I have them going, but not getting real far yet.

Great news ladies, I heard from Scrapper last night and she is working on the rows as much as possible. She is still having family issues, but alas, quilting is allowing her to cope with them. We are going to be a little late on the finishing up of our rows, but we are going to make it just fine. Just wanted the rest of you to know, we are moving along.
Mdmsewnso, I will mail you Scrappers so you can then send it all to her. She will need a boost of encouragement. Wanda, Scrapper said she is nearly done with your row and looks good.
As for me, I am moving slow on these last rows I am on. I will get there on time.

Oh goodness Wanda, I hope it all goes well on your surgery. And yes, I do believe you will be finished. By the time I receive the rows from Scrapper, I am the tail end of things. Then I will send on out. Mdm wanted us to label our blocks with some fabric she has in the package. Maybe she can shed some light on that so you could do that and send your blocks on to her. This way I can mail directly to her my blocks and Scrappers after I finish. Otherwise, yes you are done and so is Mdm except the one she is working on waiting for me to send the spring row to her to send on to Scrapper so she gets it all at once. Wow, this has been fun and I just love how everyone is keeping each other informed of where things are at. That has helped so much.

This has been fun, I can't wait to see my quilt top.
I plan on being in the next round robin so I have been working on my center, I hope it works out i will not be able to sew for about 6 weeks. My Sons girlfriend said she could help me sew if needed.

I am the backlog right now. I am not going to make the official mailing date, sorry ladies. I tried, but not going to happen. I have Wanda Lous' on the design wall right now and working on it, pulling colors and ideas out and have a great plan for it. DH said that Wanda's rows are cute and look nice. So there is a big yippee, going to be real nice for you Wanda.
I received MdmSewnSo's in the mail on Saturday, I have all the blocks cut out and now to just sew them, write my muslin note and mail them off. I may get these out by tomorrow to you Wanda, was wanting to mail both at same time if can. Will see how far I get on yours. It is half done.
Then on Scrappers, I believe I was to do two rows for her and the Spring theme is in my head, but can't seem to figure out a back ground fabric. I have an idea but have to make it happen.
I am backlogged and working hard on them. Sorry for the delay. Mdm, I will send you Scrapper's asap. Scrapper, please be patient with me, I am working on it.

Had all of Mdm's blocks cut, started seting this am on them and bummer, the attic window block ended up quirked, so back to the drawing board on my Montana block. I even used Laura Heine's fabrics which are great treasures to me. She designs fabric for RJR and is a wonderful longarm quilter as well as has her shop Fiberworks in Billings, Montana where I am from and love to visit as often as I can handle the 8 hour drive there and back.

Added a couple more things to Wanda's row. Tonight I should be able to work on them more, not going anywhere and focusing on what needs to be done.

Have to love this, I am talking to myself here. Hope you are doing well Wanda and the surgery went good. Haven't heard so figure you are healing yet.
I finished Mdms blocks last night, put my little notes on them, so will finish up the library row hopefully tonight and get them in the mail on Friday. That is the plan at least, otherwise will be Monday. Staying on track.

No, I think Wanda did two rows so you would not have to. After you make a row, you should have a total of four since there are five of us in a group. If you are that thrilled to make me two, go for it though. LOL
