Secret Santa 2015 Chat--OPENING DAY IS DECEMBER 6TH @ 3PM EST
#1781

Hi everyone - a big thank you to my SS, Nellie all the way from CA. I received some great items - the Clover clips and a wrist "thing" to hold them while I am working. Also some really beautiful fat quarters from Cotton and Steel, a pattern I had looked at several times - the Fox - at my LQS. Plus some Reeces cups - I love them.
I had to go out of town late last week unexpectedly and didn't take my bag of goodies with me. So sorry for being late to post. It is too dark now to take pics and I have to drive to Nashville tomorrow for eye doc appts. I also don't have a smart phone - but will get pics soon.
A great big thank you again to Nellie!

Once again I want to Thank Joyce ...aka...mimiknoxtaylor for my wonderful SS Box. As you see in the photo, it has some cool stuff. Love the pics of everyone's SS package. I hope sewnsew will upload a pic of what I sent her.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas

I always thank my swap partners. I had some uploading issues with my photos the last few months, but my new laptop has taken care of that issue. I always try to mention something on the board and send a PM.
Speaking of PM....Audrey from WA can you let me know your board name so I can PM you the proper thank you for the great SS box.

I haven't heard from mine either. I am beginning to think that there are folks that can read the board but can't post anymore. I remember reading something from someone in What's New that they were having serious problems with the quiltingboard website after they upgraded their operating system. Perhaps we're not hearing from folks due to that kind of problem? I know I am so computer illiterate that I would rather not deal with things like computer issues until I have a long amount of time to deal with sorting out the complications. I would rather not believe that folks are purposely avoiding us or the packages were stolen off the porches. The post office can track down if they delivered to the wrong address thanks to the tracking number system. But the person on the receiving end needs to let us know if their package didn't show up.

Well, everyone, here are pics of the wonderful package Terri dropped off at my house yesterday. She is definitely an "angel" in every sense of the word. I could not be happier with everything she came me.

Part of my post seemed to have gotten lost. What I typed was that I couldn't be happier with everything see got for me. And please don't look at the mess around my gifts. The pictures were taken on my cutting table which is NEVER cleared off, and it's not for lack of trying LOL.
I've also started my shopping for next years SS swap.

So the chatter has calmed down a little- I do believe we were all so excited for our gifts. I sent a "real" thank you in the mail to my Secret Santa, but I thought I'd chime in here too. My SS is extra special- you see I have this fear of my embroidery machine. Well, she sent me THE MOST BEAUTIFUL lace snowflakes for my tree and coaster and mug rug, dishcloths and hand towel. She made them for me! I was so impressed, out came my machine and the book and- this week end I'm diving in to learn my machine.
well, as you are all squealing with excitement with me, I also received pot holders (how did she know I needed them?), again, made for me! A take along purse for my hand sewing- again, she made it for ME! Batik fat quarters and matching fabric- how am I going to resist cutting into them when I already have a project underway? A fabric ornament, an assortment of things I truly needed and my favorite snacks. I had the bestest Secret Santa a girl could ever get.
Thank you Verna!!!! You rock!
(and I'm already into the marshmallow peanuts. Have to keep my strength up for my sewing)
