I agree. Trees that evoke memories of Christmases past are the ones I like most.

Where I apparently disagree with a lot of people is in the commercialism. I just don't care for ornaments with themes of popular toys, superheroes and movies.

Best wishes to all of you having difficult times now.

I love my tree. It is full of memories. Ornaments from Germany from my great grandparents, ornaments that hung on our grandparents tree, ornaments our kids made, ornaments we collected on vacations and our newest ornaments that we bought for each of our grandkid's first Christmas. I use white lights and it is beautiful!

My tree has ornaments from old to new. Ornaments that my kids made are my favorites from paper plate Angels, clothes pin reindeer, to ceramic ones my mother helped them make to surprise me. The angel on top is the fiberglass one my mom bought in 1944 for my first Christmas. It has seen better days but sits proudly on the top. This reminds me.....excited for opening day!

I have 2 trees. The big one in my living room has white lights and is decorated with red and gold balls and an assortment of ornaments collected over the years, a lot of them handmade. Then I have a 4 foot tree with colored lights in my Florida room that is my Santa tree. I collect Santa ornaments and try to get a new one every year.

One year my daughter (she was about 15 at the time....20 now) wanted a Charlie Brown tree. We live in a tri-level so we always put up two trees, one on each floor. So that year I thought....why not. The traditional tree went upstairs, and the Charlie Brown tree went in the family room downstairs.

We took the ATV's into the woods, cut down a dead maple tree about 10" high and dragged it into the house. We put the old fashioned round colored balls on it (blue, red, gold, green) and colored lights. To this day she still is amazed we'd let her do that. It was certainly a conversation piece that's for sure! LOL

I am ready to open my SS package. I got the tree up and need to find the angel and get the stocking hung. I also have the Nativity scene up on my drop leaf table in the living room.

as it turned I got Bells palsy.

i am hoping that the vision in my left eye returns to normal soon as does
my speech.

Some me of you may know but most of you wont that I am not a highly
religous person, but for those of you are please pray for my full recovery.
I got Bells Palsey when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. It takes time, be patient. PM me if you need to talk
