Amish friendship bread has to be kneaded once a week... that could pose a problem if the Secret Box arrives early.

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, have you ever sent the starter through the mail??????????? Opening a package that had starter explode is not a pretty sight or smell.

Please don't send me any. It's like bad relatives that come to stay & never leave. It is really good bread but it keeps making more,& more & more. I finally quit making it & threw the starter away after I had given everybody in 50 mile radius some starter.

I agree with Leota and Trupeach1. The starter could explode and needs to be kneaded. Heat may be a factor to think about when sending something. Places such as California are still getting temps above 90 degrees.

Food can be sent, but I would say the same the rest have said about the starters for the bread. The package could be sitting for weeks and it could be a complete mess when opening time comes.
As to sending overseas...umm....unless it is already packaged by a company, it would be ok. If it is something you made, say like jelly or jam, I would NOT send it.
