Finished one of my 12, Linda's Star, I found this pattern to be very hard, must read and do exactly as the instructions say, no assuming, as I did, and found myself taking out stitches, probably as I do more blocks they will get easier; hopefully. Hope you like the Fabs I chose.

Might I ask.... Does each block have to be competley identical or may I be slightly scrappy? By that I mean if i do a blue for the very center may I use different blues in the centers or does it have to be the exact same fabric?
Just want to check on the flexibility before I start. Either way is fine by me :)

Deb,
I'm going to have to drop out also. I plan to use my fat quarter assortment, so I don't think I'll have enough of any fabrics to do all 12 blocks alike. I mistakenly thought they could be done scrappy.
I'll be following the thread, though. This was a great idea.

Here is my first star. I think now that I have done one its going to be easier from here on out. I found the directions a little confusing. Hope you like it. I all my fabrics have either stars or snowflakes on them for the winter theme. The white fabric has silver snowflakes on it which aren't seen in this picture.
