Here's another cute pattern that would be great done "scrappy" with our squares. Tonight I started sewing our Christmas twist squares into these blocks, to use in some table toppers of runners.

I took my 8-patches to the store yesterday, Honchey, and found a red with gold metalic curliques on it. It's mostly red so it's a good background to the busy 8-patches. I think it will make a pretty Christmas table topper.

Here are the table runner, table topper, and a mug rug I made in the Crazy 8s pattern. I used ALL of my Christmas "twist" squares.... (If anyone is still reading this thread, LOL!)

Just finished! Now I'm excited about using my regular squares in something.
