BuzzinBumble, you made such a pretty little quilt!! Seeing it on the cutting mat, those are tiny pieces you put together. Very nicely done

Here's a sneak peak for Krisb! I already showed the fabrics. I now get to start quilting this.
I just gotta decided how to quilt it.

Hi Almond, I'm starting the quilting on your doll quilt. I too am going to machine quilt this doll quilt. (I gave my nod to amish "like" by using solids and a traditional pattern) I really like how it's coming out. But, I've tweaked it a bit. I hope you'll like it.

My 'modern' Amish themed quilt is on its way to Dragonfly Nana but the card explaining the reasoning behind the quilt sits on my kitchen bench oh well, at least the most important item went in the mail !

Is there a theme for September??? I know I am way ahead of time but September is going to be SO busy for me and I need to start thinking about what I am going to do.

I am so excited to see it!!! Your's is finished, but will keep it until after our quilt club so I can share it with them before putting it in the mail, so you have to wait till after the 2nd Tuesday of August before it is on it's way to you.

Hey Lynnie25 - been there and done that! You could always put it in the post by itself. If you do, I'll be it gets here before the package!
I missed the post on Saturday so yours will go out tomorrow.

Thank you, Donna. Most people don't realize that trucks can't stop as quickly as cars. My husband always told stories about the 'four-wheelers' and the things they did. One actually stopped in front of him on an interstate for a bunch of birds on the road!

Progress report: I got my blocks and sashing done, sandwich done, blocks are stitch in the ditch ... and now to quilt. I was hoping someone would have a brilliant idea on the quilting and thread choice ... but I see I'm on my own here. *sigh* I really like this little quilt a lot and just hope the quilting adds to it rather than takes away from it. Time will tell ...

Buzzinbumble- what a perfect Amish doll quilt!! Love it.

I am handquilting mine and it's over half done. It was an easy pattern, but very Amish styled. I am enjoying the quilting, nice thing to do for some quiet time!
