thanks, k. the title is "ach du liber, mama! Vich vay ist home??". it is more amish inspired than truly amish-- had to use the polka dot (tee hee).

debbie-- i wish the beautiful quilting on yours showed up more in the picture! i love the butterfly ezpecially! thanks for taking the pix. dh doesn't remember where he put the camera, but he's sure it works now! lol, if i didn't love him i'd shoot him, lol. just gotta keep laughing!

nancia that is a very cool design - I love how the polka dots add to the character of the quilt.
I can see the lovely butterfly in the center of debbie's as well as the leafy boarder and corner flowers - well done!

I saw that, but rest assured I will never forget that you made it for me. I added a tag so others know who it's from as well.

    Amish Mini from Oowie

Just look at the beautiful mini I received from Oowie!!! It is so bright and cheerful, and I feel it really captures the "Amish" feel. She said she did some research while designing this quilt, and it certainly shows. Thank you so much. It was a pleasure swapping with you!

    Beautiful. It is perfectly Amish.

Nancia, I love the addition of the polka dots in your amish quilt. I love love love polka dots!!

Mooretll, I love the colors you designed in your little quilt. And the quilting in the center is so special.

Oowee, Nancy, I love the Amish quilt you designed. The mini Churn Dash in the center is a favorite block of mine. Very pretty.

i love the triangular quilting! what a great idea! i was at the amish market saturday and looked closely at the 3 quilts they displayed, and, altho' they were quilted by hand there was nothing special or well done about them. very disappointing! i think they were beginner quilts that their early quilters had made. guess even the amish have to start somewhere.
