I don't know the proper name of the program - it comes on every once in a while on PBS station; could be lap quilting with Georgia Bonesteel could go by another name. Georgia's guest that day was from Wyoming and then they visited a shop in the general area as well. Sorry I don't have any more information than that - you might consider google or bing for Georgia Bonesteel - she has a lot of info out there.

Surprised she is still on and you haven't heard of her. She was on pub TV waaaay back when quilting was just becoming popular and people looked at you oddly when you told them you made quilts. Lol.

It looks to be the late 70's maybe early 80's - she wears a lot of quilted chest plates/bibs; love the eye glasses you see people wearing - it's a very telling sign.

I love(d) watching quilting/sewing shows on Public TV -- but since we moved to the apartment our cable provider doesn't have much. And even when we had Verizon FIOS I could have gotten Eleanor Byrnes but it was on RFDTV and that wasn't available here. Now the choices are something that is on at 6am on Sunday mornings or the occasional art quilting show on CreateTV.

Beautiful quilt NanaKathy! What a lovely gift. Dabbler, you created a darling doll quilt. I love all the embellishments, especially the letter beads! I have some but never thought of putting on quilt. That is my next new try! You did a very nice job on your prairie points especially for your first time. Love this swap. We get to see everyone's creativity AND we are inspired to stretch and grow by trying new techniques. Great job everyone! I will post mine as soon as I receive it, so don't stop reading posts for the May Swap!

Ok, here we go....pictures of the awesome crazy quilt I received from Argentium. I just can't say enough about this beautiful quilt AND the extras she sent. The quilt itself has the true look of vintage crazy quilts and since I am so into vintage this is just beautiful. I am convinced I received the best quilt in the group....no insults to anyone else cause I am including the one I sent too! All of the extra detailing including the buttons, the beautiful hand stitching, beads, special fabrics....So beautiful! And she sent me two stilettos to dies for. One has a hollow bead, and she sent a silver and a gold tone one. These are the prettiest I have seen and fit my tastes to a tee! She sent me a handmade needle case that is darling and I have never seen a button like the one on this! she also included ribbons like the one in the quilt, and a needle threader.....that I didn't find until I was cleaning up the packaging materials so it isnt in the pics. Oh, and some fun mardi gras beads! Enjoy, I am posting lots of pictures! I just wish I could post high resolution pictures so you could enjoy its full beauty!

Well oddly the pictures are oriented correctly when I view it on my iPad but not when on my big computer. Anyone know why?

Cogito I love your doll quilt - thank you for sharing - seeing the beading around the lace gives me other ideas - one more iron for my fire - I'm already tripping over what I have going on - oh well - such is life and I love it.

Dabbler and Argentium -- wonderful job on the May crazy mini quilts for your swap partners. I tried to leave Feedback for you but just haven't figured out that part yet. I click on "Leave Feedback" , write it, and hit Send Reply and it tells me there's an error. Don't know what happens. But the two last little quilts were just terrific!

Well I posted somewhere, no telling. I rec'd the most wonderfully done quilt from Linda (LJDugas31) and still cannot post pics. Will keep trying. There is the sharpest contrast of colors (red, white & blue) and the needlepoint she did is priceless...impeccable. I want to share with you.

Maybe Linda has pix? I will PM you with my email address and you can send photos to me and I'll post.

By the way, her other partner for May disappeared from this thread and although she is on the boards every day and has completed other swaps, she has not sent a quilt nor has she responded to my PM's. Very sad.

My partner for April gone too. I think she had a death. I told her not to bother if it was too much. I resized two of my pics to see if that was the problem for posting AND sent you others. Hopefully you will get them at your email. Thanks for all your trouble. Donna

This is the part of the swap that I most dislike ... so I just left two negatives. No more sliding. This is awful.
