Kept thinking I could do the crazy this month but going to have to wait. Have too much stuff already to keep track of while we're on the road and being gone for about 3 weeks is enough to think about for this woman. Will try for next month, hope you all have fun and I will enjoy looking at all the pics of your pretties.

I'm so excited about this one. I learned something last year ... about spider webs being good luck and this year I found a pattern for a free standing lace spider web so my partner will be very luck!
I don't know why, but our swap didn't get a sticky this month so we are sliding off the swap page. The only way to bring us up so we get more swappers is to post, post post. So ... get posting girls!

quilting crazy!
I am thinking I can quilt crazy. I mean I have done crazy blocks they were my go to when the kids were little.. incorporate a lot of the fabrics they loved in one quilt cohesively but its been years. I adore those victorian ones always wanted to own a vintage crazy quilt.. swoon they are gorgeous the velvets the hand work the oh I need that.. just havent won the lottey to buy my own. BUT I think for me I am more wonky inside. lol. well ok I am crazy and wonky. I admit it. fine. glad to see you got your sticky and are up at the top Krystyna. I have no idea how that works btw. I see lots of posts in others with lots of views and they are not up here. Maybe its how many times you host also?? You do a bang up job and it appears people are finding my swap just fine

Oh, I don't care about the sticky as a matter of my own ego -- but if you don't have one, the swap slides out of view and then we don't have as many new people signing up -- and new people are always fun to have on board! You have to ask Admin for a sticky and since it's spring, our fearless board leader, PatriceJ, has been out in the garden. Am I jealous? You bet! Maybe next year
About the spider webs ... here is an article called A Spider Web for Luck. I wonder if there are any other traditions for Crazy Quilts? How can anyone ever get bored quilting? Impossible! Besides the beauty of the different patterns, the traditions and meanings of each element are so fascinating and tell stories about the women (and men) who make them. I just love it so much!
Oooo! I have to share something lovely with all of you. Writing that reminded me of the PBS series "Why Quilts Matter". Since I don't get that broadcast here in New York, and it looked so fascinating, I treated myself to the DVDs last year for my birthday. Never got to watch them, sad to say. Well, the flood came and they were encrusted with who knows what. Impossible to clean. Last week I got an email about a discount on the DVDs and on a whim I wrote them, saying what happened and asked if they might have any ideas about how to clean them. Guess what? They sent me a new set! What lovely people! And now I still want to figure out how to clean them so I can share with someone else!
