#21
Welcome Armylady2012. The possibilities are endless as to what you can make. Using your local shop for assistance is a great way to help you get started if you are not sure. Don't hesitate to ask questions right here too. Have fun and keep updating your progress. We all like to see what each other is up to.

Ube quilting, Thank you for your encouragement. I have only done mug rugs and FPC swaps. Could you perhaps direct me to where I could find some patterns or do you have some you could share. Any assistance from any swapper will be greatly appreciated. I am not an imaginative person so It is easier if I have a pattern to go by. I have only been sewing for about 3 years and I am still learning. Thank you again.

Armylady - the sky is the limit!!! Well, actually there are some limits in sizing LOL but otherwise, it's a free for all in design, shape, etc. If you look through previous threads under the swap, you'll see some awesome examples of wall hangings!
Ube got one of mine that was likely way to big for a wall hanging, but I got carried away!!!! (remember that one Ube? with the embroidered flowers LOL)
Welcome, and just be as creative as you want to be!

I do remember it. The wonderful yellows and reds. It is big enough that I use it for a foot warmer.
Armylady, If you go on pinterest or google the phrase you will get a wealth of ideas. I would pick a subject you enjoy though so your selection won't be so overwhelming. I think the QB has an archive of wall hangings too. I will search andput up a link if I can find it.
Here is a link to all the quilt albums. Just click on the link. it should take you there then click on any album to see the quilts in that catagory. click on the quilts to enlarge them.

Hope it works.

Chipmunks are out and about now and one little girl decided to put her burrow entrance right outside my studio window. Needless to say I am very distracted from my scrap piles.

They are so cute. This little girl was seriously nesting. She picks up last years oak leaves by the stem and folds the two nearest leaf points to the center of the leaf and shoves it into her cheek. She repeats this with the next to leaf points and finally folds the leaf tip into her pouch. One leaf in each cheek and down the burrow hole she goes, decorating the nursery.

Welcome to the swap Armylady2012 Glad to have you join us!
I'm sure you'll find lots of good patterns. Anything goes except for size. but that is not set in stone either more of a suggestion LOL
I'm looking forward to seeing the wall hangings this swap! I keep thinking maybe I'll play but we shall see.

Just thinking she is all cozy, right under my feet, in her burrow with her soon to arrive brood is kind of special.
