Check out IKEA. I bought two large book cases with doors. Top parts of doors are glass so I can see what I have. Wrapped fabric on comic boards - took time but keeps things organized - they are lined up on shelves. Use bottom shelves for larger pieces and precuts.

We got PAX cabinets from IKEA and lined one bedroom wall with them from floor to ceiling. I picked out beadboard look doors and ceramic shell knobs. There are seven cabinets with seven hanging baskets and shelves, too. We are moving my sewing/crafting gear down here (FL) in October. I can't wait to get my space set up for sewing. If you need more info, just let me know!

I saw some cabinets, pantry size for about $100.00 at Lowe's. they are probably sold at Home Depot also. I got a cabinet for my kitchen smaller to replace the area of the dishwasher. I wanted the larger one which I'm sure would hold a lot of fabric. it was about 80" tall. I'm sure it would hold 500 yds. of fabric depending on how you fold it.

Someone posted a couple of months ago those legal cabinets with the lid that lifts up and slides into the cabinet. She bought them from where she works so I would look for resale office supplies stores.

Some windows have UV protection on them (and it can be added) to minimize damage from direct light. Some lights have UV from them that can also damage fabric.
Now, My Stash is in a room that is rarely used. There's black-out liners on the windows and the lights are kept off.
How much time is the room used with light that your stash is in?
Doors on cabinets also help keep out dust. I like my shelves open so I see at a glance what's in there. There are 6 6'tall bookcases 30" wide filled with fabric. Some I've had for 20+yrs and don't notice any light damage.
Just some rambling thoughts.
