Thank you everyone for the nice comments! I love coming to this board to "hang out" with like minded people!

Fortyniner- so far I love my quantum. I have had it for only about 5 months but I have sewn my heart out and quilted two quilts on it! No problems yet! Like you I haven't found the need yet to mess around with all of the 600 different stitch types yet my favorite features are the top load bobbin and the automatic thread cutter! I hope to someday in the future purchase a long arm machine to quilt on and use my quantum for piecing I taught myself how to sew and how to quilt on a Singer so purchasing another Singer seemed like a good purchase especially considering the price of the machine on Amazon! I hope you like your quantum!

Wow. I am impressed. Very nicely done. Love the quilt inspector too. What a sweetie. Love the fact your quilting at 22 yrs old, that is so wonderful to get started at an early age. I started to,and then didn't, so I was 50 before I actually did. As an earlier post suggested, might want to place a quilt or something over the fabric boards so the sunlight doesn't fade them. I know they are beautiful to see as they are. You have done a fabulous job. I am in central il and waiting for a quilt, no, ah snow day here

Great space. Looking at your fabric so neatly displayed, makes me think I need to deal with mine! Must be so much easier to know what you have. Happy sewing.

Love your well lit sewing space! The use of the shelves is very creative....I will have to try that. Your 'helper' looks really wiped out after the day of work, poor baby.

Wishing you many happy hours of sewing.

So funny I have the same exact Quantum Stylist and Ottlight sewing caddy I had to do a double take because it was almost like I was looking at my sewing area! I do love that machine it has all the features I need it for and the light was a great deal for 20.00 from Walmart

Your foam boards - did you make them or buy them? If you bought them - where? :-) We can get foam board down at the dollar store and was trying to think about maybe making my own cut down boards - but if they are reasonable elsewhere, it might be worth buying them. Neat room - I like it.

Thank you everyone! I am going to look into covering my fabrics with a curtain!

Bobbie- too funny! my ottlight caddy was a $20 Walmart steal too!

Mary- I bought basic white foam boards at dollar general and spaced out 12 per board, mine are a little shorter than some but what a deal! Less than $.10 cents per board! I used an old rotary cutter on the boards and it worked marvelously. I also use these boards to cut out templates instead of buying expensive specialty rulers

Jamie - I have also used the poster sheets 2/$1.00 at Dollar store for templates - of course basically for drawing around like pattern shapes, but they work well. I will definitely try the fabric boards. Thanks for your organization and ideas. :-)
