I've not been in need of many buttons! I do use an old jewelry box with sections on the top shelf that I organize by color and the bottom section holding buttons that are still on cards or are too large. Specialty buttons (antiques, extra large/decorative ones) I keep in a separate plastic box with dividers. I've made one quilt where I added buttons and otherwise only access buttons to replace ones on pants or shirts. Oh, and I do have a small 4x6 container of buttons my mother and grandmother collected that I look through on rare occasions.
Do you all expect to or use buttons that frequently? Has anyone seen a 'projects with buttons' thread? That would be nice to view!

I went to Walmart in the tools department and bought the cheep plastic storage bins they have for screws. I even have then color coded in different bins
