Wonderful space. I love all of it, especially the light.

this is a great space... you made the right decision... and that swimming pool is calling my name :)

It's an ideal spot. Love your wall color--it's very close to the one I chose in my sewing room. The pool view is so relaxing!but your stash storage is really incredible! Oh, the luxury of space!

The room sounds wonderful. My only question is, when you said you would have to wait for the room to heat up. I would worry about my quilting machine in an uncontrolled enviroment. I would be nervous about it being in out there. Just my opinon. I hope you enjoy both rooms some day.

My sewing studio is outside of our fenced yard. It does get to be a pain to go out there to sew in rainy or cold days. There are times I would love to be able to sew at night but I don't feel comfortable being out there at night. But out place is not large enough to have my machines set up. When I bought my mid-arm machine I had to buy the building to put it in. Now my daughter has bought a hot press to do t-shirts and now we really need another building. I'm thinking about putting another building about 8 or 10 feet away and cover the space like a dog-trot type building.

Maybe a covered walkway with lighting may make you feel a little more comfortable if sewing at night.....or even those motion detect lights. Well lit areas also deter any 'criminal types'.

I totally agree with your decision and the room is beautiful! I'm like you, my hubby is gen. contractor and many times I feel like I'm married to, "the cobbler who's children have no shoes." Our own home has been under construction for 3 and a 1/2 years now and alas... I don't see my sewing room coming into being anytime soon. You're lucky to have another great option.

Love the space you have. I just gave up mine for grandson.

Wow, what a great space. And the view is very pretty. I think you made a wise decision! Enjoy. :)
