Beautiful space and view.

Beautiful and bright space to work! I like the closets without curtains but I enjoy seeing the colors of fabric and it keeps the projects in sight! Enjoy this wonderful room and I bet your DH is glad that you are close by.

I have a small studio just a short distance from my back door and I love it. My daughter who got married in May had a studio beside mine for her card making business so has now cleared it out to her new home. DH asked me what I wanted to store in this room so I have claimed it for my Janome sewing machine, Janome embroidery machine and overlocker and three other sewing machines that I don't use but don't want to part with. This is great as I can sew in my studio on the Pfaff and have extra space for fabrics but can have the others set up ready for use.

It is a good thing to move forward and be happy in the space you have. Waiting gets us no where. Please post pictures as soon as you learn how. There is a tutorial for that. I will re post with where it is, I never remember. Good luck and happy sewing in your own studio.
peace

What a perfect solution! You have created a beautiful and functional retreat. It's your home -- you should be able to use it the way you want!

Now I need life to slow down so I have time to sew!! I volunteer at a startup fair trade store, am quilt guild membership chairman, play piano for my church, and also love to garden...oh and sometimes babysit. I do squeeze in a day or two a week and I'll have plenty of time after Christmas. Thank all of you for your affirmation.

It is hard to leave the house and go to another place to se. I do. My sewing room is in the first 20x30 feet of my barn. It is great once I am there but some days is hard to get over there...

sounds like a good plan to me!!

Beautiful, bright space and a lovely view. Great idea. We really need to utilise our spaces in our homes to suit ourselves. Houses with unused rooms are really just a waste.
