Beautiful fabric and complete organization....can I come play too? I find this type of organization a pleasure to enjoy sewing. When I pull out too many projects, I spend time cleaning it back up again.

The next set of drawers... I am just loving 1) the comic boards and 2) being able to see and easily access these fabrics!

The top drawers are not deep enough for the boards but I'm thinking about folding up my FQs to store in them. I'll add pics if I do.

How do I fold fabric for the boards and how much yardage will fit per board? Are all of the boards the same?

What are comic boards and where do you get them?

Good job! I am in the process of doing mine as well. I am using foam board instead of comic board, since that's what I could find. You're inspiring me to continue on thru this process. Thanks for posting your lovely organized stash.

That just looks like eye candy - I would think about framing some of your photos and hanging them up!

I bought 300 comics boards to organize my fabric. I doubt that will be enough! Now I just have to get started. Husby is going out of town the beginning of April and two dear friends (husby and wife) are coming over to empty the room, paint it, and he will bill build shelves above the door jambs all around the room (encircling the room). He will also put in new shelves in my closet. I will post before and after pictures when it's done. Hehehehe

I put my fabric-wrapped comic boards into clear plastic bins (which I have also labeled). This way I can sort everything into colors or types of material and store the bins on shelving units. There's no way my out-of-hand stash is going to fit into drawers! Needless to say, this mega project is an ongoing WIP all on its own. lol

When I was putting my fabric on boards, I measured at I went. Wrote the yardage on a piece of adding machine paper (Can make it as long as I want) sliped the paper in the folds. When I use some of the fabric, I adjust the numbers and almost always know how much I have. LOL Works for me.
