I have 2 trash baskets one for real trash and the other for scraps....ok the other day I got in a cleaning mood and thew out both..so i guess I need another system.

I have at least 3 bags full of stuff I'm afraid to toss. I might need it! My hubbie has instructions not to empty trash can in sewing room unless I've gone through it!

Put scraps you don't want into an old or self made pillow case and give to the local shelter. They make nice dog or cat beds.

I may be one step ahead of you (lol).....my husband has instructions not to do Anything to my sewing area. Don't ask how he's learned the hard way. LOL

I use one large round wicker basket with a lid. When it gets full I iron them and cut them in to small squares or tumblers and then put them in a small plastic container and please it next to my sewing machine for leader/ender quilts.

I keep mine in a colour coded tier. I do a lot of applique so tend to keep most scraps.

I just checked where I bought it - thought it was by Artbin. Unfortunately it's a British company called 'Really Useful' (lives up to it's name, lol) - sorry.
