good luck Zo! I know you can do it....and your brother will appreciate not being squeezed into a tiny bed I married the runt of the litter (and he's only 6'3") but with a sis in law at 6'+, brother at 6'5" and they go up from there......I've been there. I "threaten" twin beds when they get sassy!

It's my brother-in-law. I only have 3 sisters. All of my hubby's brothers (he has no sisters) are/were tall. Shortest is 6'2, hubby is 6'4, another has shrunk to 6'3, a deceased one was 6'8. My oldest son is 6'6", daughter 5'11, son 6'0" and youngest son is 15 and still growing at 6'1. I'm only 5'3" so they got other things from me. I like to say it's brains and beauty. Ha.

Okay, I might live to regret this, but here is a "before" shot .

Then I spent two 15-minute sessions decluttering.

After that, I took a couple of pictures and a nap. Gotta say, knowing that you'll be taking a picture every 15 minutes to show progress is a good little motivational trick.

This one was after 15 minutes.

After 30. Floor is much more clear. I kept the shoeboxes open on the shelves while working. It's just easier to toss scraps in during a decluttering session. I'll snap the lids
on when I'm finished. Looks like two shoeboxes went AWOL, hence the purples and reds
laying there like social outcasts on the bottom right.

It feels good to have given it a 1/2 hour of time and concentrated energy. It was a month today since my mom died, and yet I was able to push through the grief, by God's grace.

Tomorrow is a new day (or rather, since it's after midnight, today is a new day) and I have renewed hope for this room's appearance.

After--all clear. Just needs to be vacuumed and a very few items put back under there.

Next time I'll use a flash. The sun had gone away. Anyway, that's my 45 minutes or so of progress today.

Zozee: Thank you for sharing the before and progress pictures! You are doing great and I have taken before pictures but never progress ones. Sending a prayer for you as I know the ups and downs of losing a loved one especially one so recent.

I should be careful what I agree to take before I see it! Lol! 2 bags of scraps usually doesn't throw me for a loop but these bags are jammed packed with beautifully cut strips, triangles, squares, bricks and some bigger than fat quarter pieces and who knows what else because that was just the tip of the 2 icebergs!

I am excited because I was going to cut more 1 1/2" strips for Bonnie Hunter's Leader/ender challenge but I can put my pulled fabric away because I am finding strips that size and the bonus is they are 6.5" in length. Perfect.

Time to organize for a little more tonight.

Connie

Oh lovely fabrics to find a new home in a quilt. Enjoy the journey, Connie.
