Zozee- what a lovely, sunny room. I can see why you love to sew in there. Your progress looks great. I am stuck in my reorganizing but not brave enough to take pictures. I hope I can get motivated soon.

Finished a major project for comfort quilts, delivered it.... out of my space. Put a stack of related items into a carrying case that usually stands empty. Finished BOM for now and put into a container together. Put leftover fabric into storage room. Took everything off design wall. Decided need to concentrate on creating of Sierra Art Trails. Got out a focus fabric and playing with it. Also, pressed some fabric and folded for storage. Put the little pieces in the bag for dog beds.
That's it for now. Until I decide what I'm making for SAT.

Also... took books and fabric to storage room. Picked out 7... 1/2 hour projects to finish up tomorrow and cleared out the space. Finished pressing and folding the stack of fabric. Even dusted. Put away papers, trashed others, took dishes out to kitchen. Picked up threads
Quilting buddy is coming Mon to Fri and the quilting room is ready. Still have some cleaning in the bath and bedroom. This is doable.

Ta-da! Mission Accomplished. I got my sewing/guest room company ready by 6:30 last night.
What. a. relief. but.what. a. chore!
Overnight company (my hubby's brother) arrived at 7:30.
Said he slept well (11 pm -9 am, I'd say so!) .
(Scroll up if you missed the "before" and "progress" pictures.)
Cleared off this piece of furniture, except for decor and lamp.
I keep my self-kitted items here. My design wall works well on the
floor because I can easily move it to my sewing machine or prop a couple
of the boards side-by-side in front of the closet for a larger quilt layout.

Got my scraps tidied up in their shoeboxes, the bookcase they're on cleared off, the cutting table reasonably
clear (good enough), and the junk underneath it cleared out or put into the closet if I'm keeping it.
Having junk behind closed doors works so much better on my sanity! So yes, I cheated somewhat and didn't deal with every piddly thing.
My most cherished items in this room have nothing to do with sewing, actually.
One is that painting by my dad, and the other is called "My Father's Legacy" which has his writings on various topics from his childhood, dating my mom, his career, his ministry, his ongoing love with my mom for decades, his love for us kids, his hobbies, his words of wisdom.
If nothing else, cleaning this room up was good for my soul. I had dreaded it, but the reward of seeing it better organized and dusted and vacuumed all on the same day is indescribable. Might not happen till the next solar eclipse, but it's done.

Wow! that looks fantastic, Zozee.
I spent the day organizing the shed that is on our wrap around porch---took everything out, put huge amount of stuff on the cement pad next to the alley for alley-shoppers to pick through and then put the remaining stuff back in. Now you can actually walk into the shed and find stuff. Only problem is I found what looks to be a frayed electrical wire---Yikes! no using the outlets in the shed or on the back porch until the electrician can get here to check them out--glad I found it before burning down my 100+ year old wooden house....
