I left friends and family there too!!! And food!!!The fresh fruit stands, I found a bag of California navel oranges in wm the other day they are just like the ones I used to buy from the orange guy that had a stand between Hanford and Visalia out in the middle of nowhere. I paid way too much for them but I couldn't pass them up.

stitchinwitch-you miss Fresno? I don't miss very much about it. I miss the taco truck in Visalia and the auctions, but that's about it. I go down about once a year to see friends and once I'm south of Redding, I start grumbling about all the traffic and people. LOL

If you're still in Fresno, there's a shop called Cottage Quilts on Bullard Ave in Fresno. Fresno's my old stomping grounds - going for a visit later this month.

Hey there! Take it easy on Fresno!

There are 2 shops in the Fresno/Clovis area:

Quilters Paradise in Clovis, my home away from home where everybody knows my name lol, which unfortunately is closed until Friday for remodeling.

The other shop is Cottage Quilts 1732 West Bullard Avenue
Fresno (559) 447-0599. I have not shopped there, but know people that have & I've peeked in the windows. Nice looking shop. Hope to check it out someday if my work hours ever agree with their business hours.

Went to Cottage Quilts. The folks there were terrific! They had GREAT fabric and the classes they were offering made we want to live in Fresno (for awhile! lol!) I am actually gonna take a class LONG distance.! (I'll buy the monthly kit and they'll send it to me!) I spent so much time (and $$) there I didn't get to the place in Clovis. I was told later that Old Town Clovis was cool and I should have gone there. OH WELL! We'll be staying with Fresno relatives again when we head home in early April sooooo..... will check it out then. Thanks everybody for all the info.

Clovis is just East of Fresno and Quilters Paradise is a quilt store to die for. Every chance I get, I try to go there when I am in the area. I haven't been to any others in the area.
