Yep, and I was sitting in the row behind you, but further over. I was going to talk to you but you left before I could say anything. I'll send you a PM with my info.

There's a group of ladies that get together on Tuesday nights in 42025 (Benton, KY). Some are QB members, others aren't. Strippers & Hookers -- not a guild, just for fun.

I live in Greenville, SC, and there are 5 of us in the general vicinity. First meeting there was 2 of us, next meeting 3 of us, and yesterday at my home there were 4 of us. We are still waiting on the 5th one to be able to join us. We haven't decided how often we will get together, but possibly every few weeks. We had a great time yesterday. If you are anywhere near us, feel free to PM me and I will get you in touch with the others. One girl said she drove 2 hours to get here, and seemed to love it.

Onion Creek? There's a group of quilters that meet at the Onion Creek Senior Citizens building every Tuesday morning. My sister was in that group until they moved to Wimberley several months ago. She still visits them once in a while.

I just found this tonight. Not too many quilters in my area that I know of on here. I'm in southern Alabama, below Montgomery . Zip is 36037. My sister might also be interested in meeting with us.

Didi, I'm going to check your zip and see how far away you are. You're right I believe that there are more FL and GA quilters on here than Alabamians. I did see the one from Huntsville. That's probably 5 hours from me.

Keep it up, Quilters. We started a small group in the North Sacramento area (too many quilters still work! darn!) and this is our second year. I am amazed at how important each one has become for me. I live in a barn (with my DH) and we have an entire 1/2 of it to play in (well, about 1/4, but still a large part). It is wonderful to be with others who have the same addiction as yourself. I am rather socially inept, but they have made me feel so much that I fit in that I find I do! Try it, you'll like it.

Have plenty of room or am willing to travel. I relocated to the south Bay area 15 months ago and still have few friends. *sad panda

Too bad - I used to live in the 92665 (Orange)

How about, for those who are interested, to get in touch with other QB members within a certain mile radius and establish local Friendship groups. Each group could, of course, make their own rules and guidelines, etc. The bottom line is that it would give at least some of us an opportunity to actually MEET - - - face-to-face with some of our fellow quilters. Just think. We could potentially have hundreds of local QB Friendship groups all around the country. Our fellow quilters in other countries could do the same thing.

My idea would include, for starters: meeting once a month, take turns hosting your groups' Friendship group, decide on ideas and projects for your Friendship group. Recommended group size: 10-12

    What do you think???

I'll start. I live in the 92867 zip code - Orange, CA. Anyone within ~~ 20 miles who is interested, please be in touch.

    This could be really fun!

What a great idea. I've already met one QB member and will meet another on Saturday. My zip code is 19540, but I'm closer to 19543.
