It would be nice to meet and chat yes and we all have to eat. $10 is right in my budget range too. LOL
Now I am concerned about Tidewater I bought my machine from them a few years back and it needs servicing. It works fine now just needs a really deep cleaning. There is a guy in Portsmouth(?) that I am going to take my vintage machines to. Unless he isn't all that either and you have heard.
Sounds like you are going to be busy with quilt shows those few weeks. :-) What fun... Although looking for a house is never fun for very long.
Good luck with your search.

Since I live in Hampton I will be there as will several of the girls from the quilt group I meet with every Thursday at the Nazarene church in Hampton. Am looking forward to probably getting some new ideas!

I'm excited; I just read that they've added Raliegh NC to the circuit for June. I have a close friend who lives there. That will be a lot of fun to go down there. She use to quilt some but doesn't anymore but at least she appreciates the process and the work involved. She'd enjoy going.

Butterflywing? How dare you not show up!! When is the one near you? Might be able to make it.

I don't know about the guy in Portsmouth, unless he's the old guy that works out of his house. If so, he's pretty good with older machines, not the newer ones with computers, or so I was told.
If you bought your machine from Tidewater and they warranty it and all, then I would take it back to them. I won't take another to them, I assure you.

The quilt shows in Lancaster are...
----AQS Quilt Show & Contest – Lancaster - March 14 – 17, 2012
----The Lancaster Quilt Show at The Continental Inn Wednesday, Mar 14 9:00a, Thu, Mar 15 9:00a, Fri, Mar 16 9:00a Sat, Mar 17 9:00a...Best of all, admission and parking is free!
----Lancaster Spring Quilt Show at the Host Resort in Lancaster, PA
March 14th - 17th, 2012 **See two shows in one visit. . .
Free shuttle bus between the 22nd Annual Lancaster Quilt Show at the Continental Inn and 2nd Annual Lancaster Spring Quilt Show at the Host Resort.

Hi to all the ladies on this post. There are 5 or 6 of us that are coming to Hampton. We leave on Wednesday from the Farmville area and stay until Saturday. We would love to meet with you. Or at least get to say hello. We each share a room and it is not so costly. Last year our adventure was sort of a diaster. We (my friend and I) got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes and then the room they gave us to stay in was horrible(smell). But we finally got settled. Let me know if you want to meet.
