Oh,I just have to share!A friend of mine just returned from Indonesia with 200 meters of batiks!I spent hours going thru them and bought 11 yards.They are so beautiful.She is cutting them into jelly rolls,fat quarters and selling it by the yard.She and her husband sponsor 2 orphanages in Indonesia and that is where the profits go back to.State run orphanages put the kids to work at 5 so they are starting private ones to keep the kids off the street.

Here are a few but the colors just don't come thru

Cindy, the batiks are all pretty, but I really love that orange with purple.

OMG, you know HOW I love batiks!! Where is your friend going to sell them? Are they cheap to buy in Indonesia?

Yes,she gets it for $6.00 a yard and she is selling it for $9.00.Like I said she has over 200 meters and they are awesome.I will post some on this site for sale and I could bring some to the retreat if anyone is interested.Either yards,or jelly rolls.
