I think that when some of us have "reached a certain age/condition" - a lot of our money goes into health care - or taking care of our relatives - so that we don't have much discretionary funds to spend on hobbies.

Or we've already acquired "so much" - that "more" becomes a burden instead of a blessing.

You're talking about the "Images"...Lowell Quilt Festival. It was held in the Tsongas Arena. Good show. Not sure if they are still in business as I haven't seen any promotional materials about either the festival or the show lately. I used to go to the show, then visit the NE Quilt Museum which is right up the street from the Arena.
