Absolutely stunning!! I have seen "the original" in Australia and both pieces of art here represent the aftermath of bush fires so well! Also, k3n, your quilt is reminiscent of aboriginal art. I absolutely love them both. Wish I could afford to buy your quilty - or better yet, wish I has the ability to create such beauty!

Hi Sue, I like that idea but the truth is I just wanted a single, dominant tree against the FMQ background. I thought in this medium, it made for a more striking image. But from now on, if ppl ask I'm going to give your explanation!

Thanks so much for that! I love the comment about aboriginal art too - I wish I could claim it was intentional. Perhaps it was subconscious.
