Thank you Joanne. I think its very clever how the squares all come together in those kits. Don´t think I could pick out the fabrics for one though on my own.

Oh my gosh, there's another whole thread to go through already. I've got my work cut out just getting caught up, let alone deciding on anything for a center!

Klue, that is fantastic. I have PP dyslexia. Everyone says it is easy, but it seems like I always have the large piece of fabric going the wrong way, and when I press it - obviously it doesn't work.

So you can PP AND design a block to look like you?? Holy cow, that's amazing. She's very pretty, very dramatic.

Hmm....I don't have any of the Geico geckos here. I have brown ones....they should match, don't ya think?
I think this one will go perfectly! :)[/quote]

    THAT IS DISGUSTING!!

I thought I liked geckos! We have cute little ones at our vacation home in FL. I'll never look at them the same way. Where do you live that they grow so big?

That's a beautiful postcard and would make a lovely center. We only have one cat now, but all of our kitties have loved to look out the window.

I agree, that thing would make me do all kinds of embarassing things - scream, run, cry, wet myself...

You really don't like your center? I think it describes what you were looking for perfectly. Yes, there is a bit of "glitz" in the gold, but the scales do have that, don't they? As the rounds are added, they wouldn't (probably, I think you can request that certain things are not used?) necessarily have the glittery look as well. On the other thread you'd mentioned that both you and your MIL have a legal background? I think your DH would probably love it, two of his favorite women represented.

I love it! It looks like the De Colores rooster (from Walk to Emmaus). That would be stunning.

Wow, it just gets better and better. When I looked at the pic (before I read the post w/ it) I thought those must be tiny little NYB's, how hard to make. You did a great job. Got to keep going, looking for the posting w/ the geese

That is a great panel for a dear deer lover  Sorry, couldn't resist!

Oh, I can see lots of possibilities for adding to that. What a great idea to make for DH.
