Thank you for sharing you story. I am in the process of taking out quilting from a quilt I made 28 years ago. It was half quilted and I. Did like the way it was coming out. I will now take out what's left and have it quilted. It's hard work but you have given me encouragement .

What a sweet story. I am glad you did not get rid of it. I cherish the quilts my grandmother made for me. I got three from her and have three children, who each received one. I treasure them. I can't get the girls to use theirs. Hope they take them out some day and use them.

What a beautiful scrappy quilt and a family treasure! I couldn't imagine a 50 year old UFO, but I have one, too, that was given to me by my great aunt for my high school graduation. Not 50 years yet, but not too far behind!

What a wonderful treasure. I hope that you will please either put a pocket on the back and put the story in it - or write it with permanent marker and stitch on - so that future owners will know the wonderful history of this quilt.....It is such a great story that is worth having it be remembered, don't you think?
