    The blocks was made by a lady at the senior center that I volunteer at! She made the blocks about 60 years ago with her mom, she asked me to put them together in a quit! All I had to do is add sashing and tied it! Didnt want it quilted!

    tied about every 5 inches!!

    I love this - it must have been wonderful to finish it. What a nice feeling it must be for you to complete the project this lady started. Now may I ask a question - I see it is done with blanket stich applique - so how did they hold the pieces down before the days of vlisofix - which I do use but hate because it becomes like cardboard and over time the glues will change the fabric colours (studies have been done that bear this out -I have found them on google) - did they pin them or tack them in place??
